Introduction
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, our school held a delightful and creative art and craft session
where students from grades 1 to 8 participated in making personalized greeting cards for their
fathers. This event was organized as a part of our regular club activities to encourage artistic
expression and to celebrate the upcoming Father’s Day.
Objectives
- *Encourage Creativity:* Provide a platform for students to express their artistic talents.
- *Family Bonding:* Strengthen the bond between children and their fathers by creating
heartfelt, handmade gifts.
- *Skill Development:* Enhance students’ fine motor skills, creativity, and attention to
detail.
Activity Details
The activity began at 2.30 PM in the school class room. Each student was provided with the
necessary materials, including colour paper, markers, crayons, stickers, scissors, stones and
other decorative items.
*Step-by-Step Process:*
1. *Introduction:* A brief introduction about the importance of Father’s Day and the joy of
giving handmade gifts.
2. *Design Phase:* Students brainstormed ideas for their greeting card designs. They were
encouraged to think about what their fathers would love and what messages they wanted to
convey.
3. *Creation:* Using the provided materials, students started creating their greeting cards.
Teachers and volunteers were available to assist with cutting, pasting, and providing creative
input.
4. *Personal Messages:* Each student wrote a personal message inside their card, expressing
their love and appreciation for their fathers.
5. *Decoration:* The final step involved decorating the cards with stickers, drawings, and
other embellishments to make them unique and special.
Student Experience
The students were enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the creative process. It was heart-
warming to see their excitement and dedication to making something special for their fathers.
