the fields of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) for thermal energy storage and speciality polymeric additives for enhancing mechanical properties.
• The Business is primarily divided into the following segments:
• PCM – Life Sciences and Healthcare
• PCM – Food and Agriculture (reefer trucks, last mile delivery, cold rooms and solar dryers)
• PCM – Energy Efficiency (building, refrigeration equipment and HVAC)
• Speciality Polymers
• Manufacturing units dedicated to PCMs, pharmaceutical cold chain boxes and speciality polymers meeting global delivery standards
• Serves a diverse worldwide customer base with c. 40.0% of sales exported to Europe, USA and Turkey.
• Very strong on R&D with a demonstrated track record of developing market relevant product offerings.
• Boasting laboratories recognised by the Indian Government’s Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, including a chemical laboratory and
environment chambers for testing cold chain solutions plus test beds for a variety of PCM applications.
• A subsidiary of CUMI, a Murugappa Group Company
• Global presence through its 100% subsidiary in the Netherlands to expand its footprint in Europe.
What is PCM ?
➢ PCM = Phase Change Material
➢ Stores large energy in the form of latent heat
➢ Also called Thermal Batteries PCM
➢ Release/Absorption of heat at constant temperature
➢ Release /Absorption process repeatable over a
substantial number of cycles.

temperature controlled transport of food and beverages.
➢ Made up of two sheets of mild steel, cold formed and welded together
through electrical resistance, galvanized with zinc.

➢ An evaporator coil, made up of mild-steel, is positioned into the plate

that allows quick freezing of the phase changing solution.

➢ Segmented into two broad categories on the basis of applications:

Chilled (2oC to 8oC) and Frozen (-25oC to -18oC).
