The ELEVATE Responsible Sourcing Standard and associated protocol offers facilities, retailers and

brands a suite of resources to proactively manage social compliance.

The ELEVATE Responsible Sourcing Assessment (ERSA)

Companies are increasingly looking for visibility into their supply chains to ensure that wherever their products
are made or housed, workers are treated with dignity and respected. The ELEVATE Responsible Sourcing
Assessment (ERSA) evaluates a site’s compliance with industry best practices and local laws including but not
limited to wages, working hours, health and safety, discrimination, disciplinary practices, freedom of association,
environment, and other monitoring and documentation requirements.
The assessment process is intended to promote increased awareness of labor conditions within the supply
chain and to facilitate improvement. Initial visits generally last from 1-4-person days and follow-up visits from 1-
2-person days depending on the site and workforce details. The success of each assessment depends largely on
the willingness of the site management to provide access to site grounds, relevant records, and workers for
interview. Generally, assessments start around 0900 and end in 1700.

+ A room for around 20 should be available for the worker surveys
