Type Style Description

Example Exact user entry. These are words or characters that you enter in the system exactly as they
appear in the documentation.

<Example> Variable user entry. Angle brackets indicate that you replace these words and characters
with appropriate entries to make entries in the system.

1.1 SSL Protected Connection to Manager

1.1.1 Use

1.1.2 Prerequisites

The following prerequisites will be needed:

Prerequisite Description

SSL enabled Manager instance The Manager instance you want to connect to has to
have an enabled SSL encryption. You may easily
check the activation of SSL by calling the Manager
instance in your browser, replacing the http at the
beginning of the URL with https.

1.1.3 Procedure

1. Open connection wizard by toolbar item Workarea -> Administration -> Connect with Manager...
2. In wizard's first step Select Server enter URL to Managers' instance by replacing http:// with https://
3. Enter your credentials in fields User and Password.
4. Click Establish connection to check if connection can be verified.
5. Having verified successfully you will see information about connected Manager within the info box below the
button Establish connection.

If the verification of the connection wasn't successful please contact your administrator to get information if SSL
protected connection has been set up and what to know about. Maybe the SSL setup uses a different than the
standard ports. If so, please enter URL by adding accordant port suffix, e.g.:
https://mymanager:8443*/
*Replace digit with port number as delivered by your administrator.
