CCA SCRIPT

1. Good morning everyone, I am Mrs. Evavie B. Lagasca , Your


Accredited Assessor for Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II.
2. Before anything else, I would like to acknowledge the presence of
Sir/ Maam ______________, TESDA representative from the Provincial
office. Do not worry about his/her presence because she/he is here
to oversee the conduct of Competency Assessment in accordance
with the Prescribed Competency Assessment Methodology and
Procedure. She will not assess you.
3. Before we proceed, let me check first the attendance. So as I call
your name please proceed here in front and bring with you your
admission slip.
4. Please affix your signature here beside your name, you are
candidate number 1, etc.
5. I have here with me your accomplished application form and self-
assessment guide. I noticed you all check yes under the yes box.
This indicates that you know and can perform all the activities
enumerated in this competency.
6. Today, I am going to administer the competency assessment for
Animal Production(Poultry-Chicken NC II). This qualification consists
basic, common and core competencies,
The core competencies are divided into 4 namely:
- Maintain Poultry Environment
- Brood and Grow Chicks
- Pre-Lay and Lay Eggs
- Trim Beak
7. For project based assessment
This qualification is a project-based assessment meaning to say that
you have to be rated competent in all the units of competencies
enumerated to have your National Certificate Level II. If you are
rated not yet competent in any unit of competency, no Certificate
will be given. You will repeat all.

For COC based assessment


This qualification is a COC based assessment meaning to say that in
order for you to have your national certificate level 2, you must
demonstrate competent in all the units of competencies in this
qualification, however, if you have rated not yet competent in either
one of the units of competencies, you will not receive a national
certificate but instead you will receive a certificate of competency in
the units of competencies you rated competent. And you will be re-
assessed in the units of competencies that you did not pass.

8. The purpose of this assessment is to have your National certificate.


And of course to update yourself with the latest technology in Animal
Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II. Another one is to validate your
skills if it is based on the national standard.
9. You are required to perform trim beak.

10. I am going to gather evidence through Written test,


Observation, demonstration with oral questioning and interview.

11. As you can see all the supplies, tools, equipment, and materials
are already available inside our assessment area. I have prepared
that for you. At the back, you can see the medicine cabinet full of a
first aid kit incase one of you is not feeling well.

12. Once the assessment is started, You are not allowed to go out in
this assessment area. For your necessities, our CR is located at the
back of this room. You are not allowed also to eat in the assessment
venue, and since we are dealing with current please observe safety
at all times and do not forget to wear your PPE.

13. You need tools, equipment, supplies and materials in the


conduct of the demonstration. You will be provided each which is
why you are not allowed to barrow it from your co candidates.

14. While you are performing the task I am going to ask questions
regarding what you are performing.

15. Once you are rated not yet competent, you have the right to
appeal and submit it to the TESDA provincial office where the
assessors are accredited.
16. After this assessment, and finding out that you are rated
competent, then you can claim your National Certificate 3 working
days after the assessment. You will receive a soft copy of your NC’s
through the e-mail that you enter in your application form.

17. I am going to give you your specific instructions and if you


encounter some words or phrases which are not familiar to you, just
tell me and I will translate them into your own dialect.

18. Are there some queries that you need to address for your
clarification? If none, kindly fill out this consent form because this
assessment area is equipped with CCTV which captures images,
videos, sound and sound.

19. I am also giving you now the specific instructions for your
demonstration, kindly read it and ask questions if there is some
clarification.

20. Please wear now your PPE, I think you are all now ready,
Candidate no.1 please proceed to table
No.1, and candidate no. 10 please proceed to table no. 10.

You are given two hours to demonstrate each unit of


competencies. Therefore the total number of hours is 8
hours
to complete all said competencies.

Our time is 8:30 so it is expected to finish at exactly 5:30, do not


worry I will give you 1 hour to have your lunch and other necessities.

Let me remind everybody that you still have 30 mins left in your
demonstration.
Ok time is over, kindly fix all things and perform 5s activities.
Everybody, please proceed to the waiting area and wait for your
number to be called.
