Objective: To configure RIP

Steps to be followed

A. Configure Router R1
R1-config#interface e0
R1-config-if#ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.0.0
R1-config-if#no shut
R1-config#interface e1
R1-config-if#ip address 10.1.0.1 255.255.0.0
R1-config-if#no shut
R1-config#int s0
R1-config-if#ip address 10.2.0.1 255.255.0.0
R1-config-if#no shut
R1-config#router rip
R1-config-router#network 10.0.0.0

B. Configure Router R2

R2-config#interface s0
R2-config-if#ip address 10.2.0.2 255.255.0.0
R2-config-if#no shut
R2-config-if#clock rate 64000
R2-config #interface s1
R2-config-if#ip address 10.3.0.2 255.255.0.0
R2-config-if#no shut
R2-config-if#clock rate 64000
R2-config#router rip
R2-config-router#network 10.0.0.0

C. Configure Router R3

R3-config#interface e0
R3-config-if#ip address 10.4.0.1 255.255.0.0
R3-config-if#no shutdown
R3-config#interface s0
R3-config-if# ip address 10.3.0.1 255.255.0.0
R3-config-if#no shut
R3-config #router rip
R3-config-router#network 10.0.0.0

D. Testing process

R1# show ip route
