CERTIFICATION FAST TRACK PROGRAM FAQ

When are the JN0-342 (JNCIA-ER), JN0-350 (JNCIS-ER) and JNCIA-EX going to End of Life (EOL)?
On December 3, 2010, Juniper Networks did EOL those certification exams and they have been removed them from the Fast Track Web portal.

If I currently have a JNCIA-ER, JNCIS-ER or a JNCIA-EX credential, will it expire on December 3, 2010?
No, your certification credential will remain valid and active until its time for you to recertify - two years after the date you last passed the exam.

When its time to recertify on my JNCIA-ER, JNCIS-ER or JNCIA-EX what exams do I take?
Below is a chart with replacement exams that you will recertify on. Note; You can also recertify on the next higher level exam.

Was the JNCIS-ENT added to the Fast Track Web portal on October 1, 2010?
Yes, on October 1, 2010, Juniper Networks released the JNCIS-ENT certification credential, and at the same the JNCISENT study guides were made available on the Fast Track portal.

How many times am I allowed to take the pre-assessment exams to earn a discounted voucher?
You are allowed to take the pre-assessment exam as many times as you need to achieve a passing score in order to receive a voucher for the live exam.

How many vouchers can I receive through the program?

You can earn one voucher per exam. Potentially, you can earn 3 discounted certification exam vouchers.

How can I get the study materials for the test?

Everything you need to you help you through the program, including step-by-step instructions, is located in the Fast Track Portal under Fast Track Certification Program at www.juniper.net/fasttrack.

Can Juniper Networks employees and Juniper Networks partners take advantage of this program?
Yes, this program is open to anyone interested in learning more about Juniper Networks certifications.

Do you have to be a Cisco Certified Professional to take advantage of this program?

Not any longer. Anyone with an existing technical networking certification or new to networking can take advantage of, and benefit from, this program.

How can I register for the, JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, and JNCIS-SEC, live exams?
You can register by accessing the Prometric Web site at www.prometric.com/Juniper.

Im interested in attending a training class in person. Where can I find training centers in my area?

Where can I practice on live Juniper Networks equipment? Can you provide me with open lab time?
Yes, three of our Juniper Networks Authorized Education Centers (JNAECs) provide you with extra hands-on experience through the Fast Track Program Open Lab Time for a fixed hourly fee. For how many years are Juniper certifications valid?

Certifications are valid for two years. You can recertify and extend a certification for an additional two years by simply passing the same certification exam or passing a higher level exam.

What is the CertManager?

This is a credential management system exclusively for Juniper Certification holders. You can manage your certification progress and personal information, order replacement certifications, download certification logos and more on this site. It is separate from the Learning Portal. To access CertManager, please click on this url: www.juniper.net/us/en/ training/certification/certmanager.

I passed the pre-assessment exam, then I passed the live exam at Prometric, but I cannot activate my account in the CertManager. Why is this?
If you recently passed your exam at Prometric, it will take a few days for Prometric to send us your exam information. You will need to wait for your account to be created before you can create a login in CertManager. Please try again soon. How long does it take to receive the official certificate after passing the certification exam at Prometric? Juniper Networks Certification Program has moved from paper certificates to eCertificates. Expect your eCertificate to arrivewithin 5-7business days from passing your exam at Prometric. You can find all the information you need for downloading and printing your eCertificate on the JNCP eCertificate Web site.

I tried logging into your site at www.juniper.net/fasttrack/, but I could not. What should I do?
If you are having login problems, try the Forgot your Password link on the login page. If that does not help you, email us at [email protected] for assistance.

How long will my voucher remain valid?

The voucher is valid for three months after receipt; please register for an exam before the three month date. How many times am I allowed to take the pre-assessment exams to earn a discounted voucher? You are allowed to take the pre -assessment exam as many times as you need to achieve a passing score to receive a voucher to take the live exam.

How many vouchers can I receive at a 50% discount?

You can earn one voucher per exam. Potentially, you can earn up to three 50% discounted vouchers to earn up to three attempts for the live certification exam at a 50% discount.

Must I take the exam before the voucher expires or can I take it even after the voucher expires?
The expiration date indicates the date by which you must register for the exam.

How can I get the study materials for the test?

Everything you need is located on the Learning Portal under Fast Track Certification Program. You will find step-by-step instructions to help you through the program.
