AMIBCP User Guide


Purpose

This document provides information to use the AMIBCP tool to standardize the operation of the

AMIBCP tool.

Application Scope

Inspur Purley, Whitley, Cedar Island and Eagle Stream platform Server.

Overview and Supported Operating System

The AMIBCP tool is used to modify BIOS options in ROM files directly.

AMIBCP is supported by the following operating systems:

• Microsoft® Windows® 10

• Linux

• UEFI

• Linux Arm

Usage

The following describes how to use the AMIBCP tool in Windows and Linux.

Windows

1) Users can start by double-clicking the executable file. The NWJS binaries will be downloaded

into the %USERPROFILE% folder.

2) If users want to put NWJS binaries in their specific folder, they need to use this command to

start AMIBCP from the command line. (AMIBCP.exe < path >)

Linux

1) Users can start AMIBCP from the terminal using (./AMIBCP). The NWJS binaries will be

downloaded in the home directory.

2) If users want to put the NWJS binaries in their specific folder, then they need to use this

command to start AMIBCP from the terminal. (./AMIBCP < path >)

3) In Ubuntu 18.04, users need to install the following two packages to run the AMIBCP application.

a) sudo apt-get install libgconf-2-4

b) sudo apt-get install libcurl3 –y
