Title: "Set Apart: Embracing Our Holiness as Children of Elohim"

Introduction:
Dear brothers and sisters in faith, today, we gather to delve into the profound truth of our identity as children
of Elohim. We are called to be a holy people, distinct and consecrated, living in a manner that reflects our
connection to the Almighty. Let us turn to the Scriptures to understand the significance of being set apart.
Scripture Reference: Leviticus 20:26 (NKJV) "And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and
have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine."
I. Holiness as a Distinct Lifestyle:
As children of Elohim, we are called to be holy, just as our Heavenly Father is holy. Holiness is not a mere
set of rules but a lifestyle that reflects the character of God. In 1 Peter 1:16 (NIV), the apostle Peter
reinforces this divine call to holiness, saying, "Be holy because I am holy."
Scripture Reference: Isaiah 35:8 (ESV) "And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of
Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are
fools, they shall not go astray."
Our separation from the world is not to isolate us but to elevate us. We are to live in a way that mirrors the
sacred nature of our Creator.
Scripture Reference: 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (ESV) "Therefore, go out from their midst, and be separate
from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty."
II. Holiness with a Purpose:
Elohim has set us apart for a purpose greater than ourselves. Just as He chose Israel for a specific purpose,
we, as His children, are chosen to fulfill a divine calling. In Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV), the Lord declares, "Before
I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet
to the nations."
Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 4:7 (NIV) "For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy
life."
Our lives are not accidental or random; they are intentionally designed by the Creator. We are set apart to
serve, love, and bring glory to Elohim in all that we do.
Scripture Reference: Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in
Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."
III. Holiness in Conduct:
Our set-apartness extends to our conduct and interactions with the world. In Romans 12:2 (NIV), the
apostle Paul urges us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect
will."
Scripture Reference: Colossians 3:12 (NIV) "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
As children of Elohim, we are called to live counter-culturally, guided by the principles of love, compassion,
and righteousness. Our conduct should reflect the nature of our Heavenly Father, drawing others to the light
of His truth.
Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:16 (ESV) "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that
they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Conclusion:
In conclusion, dear brothers and sisters, let us embrace our identity as a set-apart people, chosen and
consecrated by Elohim. As we journey through this life, may our lives be a testimony to the transformative
power of being set apart for the glory of our Heavenly Father. Amen.
