GIANT LANTERN MAKING CONTEST


1.The contest is open for all grade level.
2. The lantern can be of any shape and should use any recyclable materials.
3. The size of the lantern should 5 feet in diameter.
4. Designs and styles are all up to the participants. The more creative and innovative, the
better.
5. It should be handmade and cost-efficient.
6. All lanterns should be displayed before December 02, 2022.
7. Criteria for Judging
Creativity – 30 %
Craftsmanship/Workmanship – 40 %
Following Mechanics – 15%
Over-all Presentation – 15%
8. Prizes
1st Prize: P 1, 000. 00
2nd Prize: P 800.00
3rd Prize: P 500.00
Consolation Prizes: P 200 each

CAROLING CONTEST MECHANICS


1. The contest should be done by grade level.
2. Carolers must consist of minimum of 15 and maximum of 25 members only (included
of the conductor and instrumentalist if applicable).
3. Can be done with accompaniment or acapella.
4. Carolers may perform any carols or medley (English, Filipino, Bisaya). All songs must
be memorized.
5. Presentation shall not exceed 10 minutes time inclusive of entrance and exit. (A timer
shall be appointed for the purpose of deduction of two (2) points for every excess
minute will be imposed).
6. Choreography, costumes and props are allowed.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


VOICE QUALITY - 35 %
(Harmony, Blending, Tone, Intonation,
Breathing, Projection, Pitch Balance)
MUSICALITY - 30 %
(Dynamics, Style, Execution, Timing and Expression)
MASTERY - 15 %
(Clarity of the lyrics)
STAGING - 10 %
(Choreography, Floor patterns, Stage Balance,
Costumes and Props)

OVER-ALL IMPACT - 10 %

TOTAL - 100 %
