LANGUAGE CLASS WORK:


 ADVERB:(the suffix-ly)
Most adverbs of manners are formed by adding the suffix-ly to an adjective.
EXAMPLE:soft-softly,bad-badly, correct-correctly
Note:- some adverbs not follow the –ly pattern example;The boy was good at reading .He
read well.
Good(adjective),well(adverb)

 ADJECTIVE:(the suffix-ly)
 Adjectives that end in a consonant+y drop the y and take –ily
EXAMPLE:easy-easily,happy-happily
 Adjectives that end in –le drop the e and take –y.
EXAMPLE:simple-simply, comfortable -comfortably
