How to Record a Presentation Using Zoom

1. Open Zoom program and click “Schedule”


2. Enter the time and date of the meeting.

Select “Other Calendar” from the “Calendar” section.

Press “Schedule”.
3. After selecting “Schedule”, a new text box will open.

Select “Copy to Clipboard”.


4. Create an email to invite your participants to the Zoom meeting.

Paste the meeting invite from Clipboard into your email.

The meeting participants can click the “Join Zoom Meeting” link and will
be taken to the meeting
5. The meeting host can start the meeting by clicking “Start”, which allows
them to open the meeting room and allow other participants to join.

6. Once everybody has joined the meeting, ensure that each participant is
un-muted and their video is enabled.

The meeting host can start recording the meeting by clicking the
“Record” button on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
7. Once the presentation has finished, the meeting host can stop the
recording.

8. After the meeting has finished and the recording has stopped, the
meeting host can “End” the meeting.

9. The recorded meeting is saved in a file under “This PC / Documents /


Zoom / Meeting Name”.
10. If the file is too big to send via email, it will need to be uploaded to
“Google Drive” to be shared.

11. Visit https://www.drive.google.com and select “New”

12. Select “File Upload” from the new menu.


13. A window will open and you need to navigate to where the Zoom
meeting is saved - inside of the Zoom folder.

14. Once you have located the meeting file, you will need to click on it and
press “Open”
15. The Video will start uploading and once it has finished, select the
search box at the top of the page and search for “zoom”.

16. The video file will appear. Right Click on the file and select “Get Link”
17. Once you click “Get Link” a new menu will open.

Ensure that the file security is changed to “Anyone with the link”.

Click “Copy link” and paste into an email that you can send to your teacher.
