October 15, 2011, the Metro New York Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute was proud to join a diverse group of labor, civil rights and religious organizations in rededicating ourselves to the unfinished business of the dream: creating and protecting good jobs, defending workers rights, and demanding that corporations and wealthy individuals pay their fair share.

The work of APRI continues as we stand in support of the Occupy Wall Street protesters on labor and work issues. Voter Rights Rally - Nov./Dec.
Partnering with the Stand for Freedom Coalition, the A. Philip Randolph Institute continues to work to protect voting rights. A broad coalition was formed to stand up and speak out for Voting Rights. Resulting in a mass mobilization effort planned for Dec. 10, 2011

Representing the Coalition of Labor Union Women, the A. Philip Ranolph Institute and the Coaliton of Black Trade Unionist, members attended the 102nd National NAACP convention in Los Angeles and supported RWDSU workers in an action calling for better working conditions. July 2011
