TT:EVH Mail system

Our mail system is using gmail with a twist – the email address has a different domain.
However, instead of Google Workspace, we use Cloudflare as our provider. Here’s how this
works:

To begin, you need to log into the email (not your own email but our mailbox – you should
receive the credentials from one of your team leads). You will then automatically have
access to any emails sent to this address. The sending process depends on the client you use
(currently known to work are web interface at https://gmail.com, android mobile interface from
google play, and mozilla thunderbird at https://thunderbird.net). In all of these cases, you need
to use the gmail address bound to the email to send emails! Otherwise, you will get errors
like this:

GMail Web interface

Sending from this one is easy – after clicking “New message”, just choose the appropriate email
address from the dropdown. (Note that attempting to set an invalid address here, like
[email protected], will not work out as that is not set as a shortcut, same
would happen if trying to send the message through a different mailbox.)

UPD: Same seems to work on the Android gmail client as well. Not sure about other ones

EMail desktop client

As there is a large number of desktop clients, I’m showing the instructions for Moz Thunderbird.
Other clients such as Windows Mail, Apple Mail etc. are probably similar.

1) Select the mailbox and click “account settings” (this is also accessible if right-clicking):

2) Select “Manage identities”:

3) Add an identity:

4) Set the used Email address and save the identity:

5) Optional: set the signature text – a simple example is below but feel free to do whatever

6) Optional: set the new identity as default.

7) When sending, choose the correct identity
