Description ®
SikaBond -T19 is an elastic, 1-component, polyurethane-based adhesive.
®
Uses SikaBond -T19 is used in the installation of platform and raised access floors for
the fixing of the pedestals.
Platform and screeded cavity floor systems are found in administrative buildings,
hospitals, communications and computer centres, control rooms, laboratories and
clean rooms and are commonly used in refurbishment and office modernisation
schemes.

The elastic adhesive SikaBond -T19 absorbs vibration and reduces sound
transmission.

Information

Application Details
Consumption Approx. 28 g or 20 ml of adhesive is required for a pedestal area of 80 cm².
Substrate Quality Clean and dry, homogeneous, even, and free from grease, dust and loose particles.
Paint, laitance and other poorly adhering particles must be removed. Any coatings
must be compatible with the adhesive
The pedestal base plates (galvanised, yellow passivated etc.) must be clean, dry
and free from dust, grease and oil.
Substrate Preparation To clean and degrease the pedestal surface, use Colma Cleaner or an equivalent
degreasing agent.

Air Temperature +5°C min. / +35°C max.

Relative Air Humidity Between 30% and 90%

Application
Instructions
Application Method / Use hand- or air-pressure gun.
Tools
Apply SikaBond-T19 to the pedestal base plate or to the substrate. The required
quantity of adhesive depends on the nature of the substrate and the pedestal
surface, which must be fully coated with adhesive. Approx. 28 g or 20 ml of
adhesive is required for a pedestal area of 80 cm². The pedestal is then accurately
positioned on the substrate and pressed firmly into the adhesive so as to ensure a
adhesive layer thickness of approx. 1.0 to 2.0 mm.
Fresh, uncured adhesive remaining on the surface must be removed immediately

with a clean cloth and if necessary cleaned with Sika Remover-208 or Sika
Handclean towels.

Cleaning of Tools Clean all tools and application equipment with Sika Remover-208 immediately
after use. Hardened / cured material can only be removed mechanically.
Potlife (max. open time) ~ 30 minutes
Notes on Application /
Limits For the proper curing of the adhesive sufficient ambient moisture is necessary.
Do not use on PP, PE, Teflon and certain plasticized synthetic materials (carry out
pre-trials or contact our Technical Service).
