Respondents of the Study

The respondents of the study were the 80 students, 19 teachers and 1 admin of the Don Carlos
M. Mejias Memorial National High School. The respondents were chosen based on their
availability and their willingness to participate in this study.

Research Instrument Used

The researchers used a survey questionnaire as the main instrument. Part 1 of the questionnaire
includes the demographic profile of the respondents such as age and sex. Part 2 of the
questionnaire includes the questions regarding the acceptability of the product in terms of
quality, usability, functionality, maintainability and portability.

Data Gathering Procedure

In order to collect data, the researchers crafted self-administered questionnaire which was
submitted for validation to the experts. Upon validation, the questionnaires was submitted to
the researcher’s research teacher for further review. After a through review, a letter of request
was sent to the office of the school principal, and to the respondents, asking a permission for the
conduct of the study. Securing all the required letters, the researchers prepared the
questionnaires and personally administered it. When the questionnaires were answered
completely, the information gathered and collected from the respondents was analyzed,
tabulated, and interpreted using the appropriate statistical tools.

Statistical Treatment of Data

The researchers used the weighted mean and the percentage distribution to provide a summary
description of the data gathered and as statistical tools to analyze the data.
The percentage was computed using the following formula:

P=f/n ×100

where

P= percentage

f= frequency of the numbers of respondents

N= total number of respondents

100= constant number in getting the percentage

Weighted mean was computed using the formula:

wm= £+(×)/n

where :

wm= total computed weighted mean

£= symbol of summation

f= frequency of the respondents

×= item scale

n= total number of respondents
