Problem Statement:

Title: Development of a Decentralized Application for NGOs to Manage and Promote Campaigns

Introduction:

Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) play a crucial role in addressing societal issues, from
environmental conservation to humanitarian aid. However, traditional methods of managing and
promoting campaigns are often centralized, leading to challenges such as lack of transparency, trust
issues among donors, and inefficiencies in fund allocation. NGOs need a more efficient, transparent,
and secure way to engage with the public and manage their campaigns.

Problem:

The existing systems used by NGOs to organize and promote campaigns are often centralized,
making them susceptible to several issues:

1. Lack of Transparency: Donors often question how their contributions are being utilized.
Centralized systems may not provide real-time transparency of fund usage, leading to mistrust.

2. Administrative Overheads: Managing campaigns, tracking donations, and maintaining records

involve significant administrative efforts, which can be time-consuming and prone to errors.

3. Security Risks: Centralized databases are vulnerable to cyber-attacks, potentially compromising

sensitive information about donors and funds.

4. Limited Public Engagement: Traditional systems may not effectively engage the public or provide
them with the confidence to contribute to a campaign, reducing the overall impact.

Proposed Solution:

We propose the development of a Decentralized Application (DApp) for NGOs that allows them to
create, manage, and promote campaigns transparently and securely. The application leverages
block-chain technology to ensure decentralization, providing the following key features:

1. Campaign Creation: NGOs can create campaigns such as tree plantation, food donation, or charity
drives. Each campaign will have specific goals (e.g., number of trees to be planted, amount of food
to be distributed) and a fixed target amount to be collected.

2. Public Engagement: The DApp will allow NGOs to float campaigns directly to the public. Donors
can contribute to the campaigns they are passionate about, with full transparency regarding how
their funds are being utilized.

3. Decentralized Dashboard: A dashboard will display real-time data on the progress of each
campaign. Donors and the general public can track how much has been collected, how much is left,
and how the funds are being used. This ensures transparency and builds trust.

4. Smart Contracts: The application will utilize smart contracts to automate fund allocation based on
predefined conditions. For example, funds for a tree plantation campaign will only be released once
the target amount is collected, ensuring that donations are used as intended.

5. Security: By using block-chain technology, the DApp ensures that all transactions and data are
secure, immutable, and free from unauthorized access.

Conclusion:

This Decentralized Application will empower NGOs by providing them with a secure, transparent,
and efficient platform to manage and promote their campaigns. It will also foster greater public trust
and engagement, leading to more successful campaigns and a more significant impact on society. By
addressing the challenges of transparency, security, and public engagement, this DApp has the
potential to revolutionize how NGOs operate and achieve their mission.
