Capital: ₱15,000.00
Fixed Cost (Labor, Machineries, Expenses for the booth etc):
 Booth Rental: ₱5,000.00
 Labor (staff for setup and sales): ₱2,500.00
 Display Shelves and Decorations: ₱1,500.00

₱1,500.00

 Total Fixed Cost: ₱11,500.00
Variable Cost (Materials, Ingredients, etc):
 Books and Educational Materials Inventory: ₱3,500.00
 Packaging and Shipping Cost: ₱700.00
 Transaction Fees (credit card fees, etc): ₱800.00
 Total Variable Cost: ₱5,000.00
Total Costs:
Fixed Costs + Variable Costs
Total Costs: ₱11,500.00 (Fixed) + ₱5,000.00 (Variable)= ₱16,500.00
Profit function:
The profit function P can be defined as:
P Revenue Total Costs
Revenue:
Assume the average selling price per item is ₱250.00, and you expect to
sell x items.
Revenue= ₱250.00 × x
Total Costs:
Total Costs = ₱16,500.00
P = (₱250 x ) - ₱16,500 To achieve a profit that is twice the capital (i.e.,
₱30,000.00): Set P = 30000
30000 = (₱250 x ) – 16,500
Solve for x :
30000 + 16,500 = ₱250 x
46,500 = ₱250 x
46,500
x = 250

x = 186
By selling 186 items at an average price of ₱250.00 each, the revenue
would be: Revenue = ₱250.00 × 186 = ₱46,500.00
Subtracting the total Costs:
Profit ₱46,500.00 - ₱16,500.00 = ₱30,000.00

Prove that profit function will yield an amount that is twice the capital:
This confirms that the profit function will yield an amount that is
twice the initial capital (i.e., ₱30,000.00).
