b. Relevant Information
I. All bearings are true unless mentioned otherwise.
II. Fixes and positions to be shown in Lat and Long.
III. Use appropriate symbols.
IV. Calculations to be shown on answer script.
V. Length of Ship – 103 m
VI. Draught – 3.1 m
VII. Stem to standard distance – 55m
VIII. Max shackle in port cable -07 Shackles.
IX. Max Shackle in Starboard cable-07 Shackles
X. Max speed of the Ship – 25 knots.
XI. Show DR every after 30 minutes (where applicable).
XII. Height of Tide-1.2 m.
XIII. Height of Eye -12 m.
XIV. Safety margin-2 mtrs or 200 yards (Where applicable).

1. You are the Navigating Officer of BNS ABU BAKR on 08 May 2024 deployed on
Operation Treasure Shield, ship was patrolling in position Mongla Fairway Bouy
190°-6 nm at 0300 hrs, she was doing course 095°-10 Kn.

(a) Show Fix at 0300 hrs (with appropriate symbol).

2. Considering tidal stream 2340-4 kn, What will be EP of your ship at 0400 hrs.

7. At 1030 hrs, GPS fix taken in position Lat 21° 10ˈ.60 N Long 091° 24ˈ.40 E.

(b) Show PIL, Dead Range & Head Mark on Chart.
(c) Calculate amount of cable veered.
(d) Write down the Anchor information.
