1. Introduction
Zello is a push-to-talk (PTT) application that allows users to communicate instantly over the
internet. It functions similarly to a traditional walkie-talkie but with the added benefits of modern
technology, including clear voice quality, text messaging, and multimedia sharing.

2. Installation and Login


Android
1. Open the Google Play Store on your device.
2. Search for "Zello."
3. Tap "Install" to download and install the app.

iOS
1. Open the App Store on your device.
2. Search for "Zello."
3. Tap "Get" to download and install the app.

Windows
1. Visit the Zello website.
2. Download the Windows version.
3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Login Option 1
1. Open the email associated with the Zellowork account creation
2. Open the email inviting you to join the “Bureau of Fire Protection IX team on Zello” and
follow the instructions within the email.
3. Tap your profile on the upper left corner and change the default password.

Login Option 2
1. Open the Zello app.
2. Tap "SIGN IN"
3. Enter username, and password.
4. Toggle Zello Work account option and enter “bfpr9”.
5. Log in to your new account.
6. Tap your profile on the upper left corner and change the default password.

3. User Interface Overview


 Home Screen: Displays recent contacts and channels.
 Contacts Tab: Shows your contacts list.
 Channels Tab: Displays channels you are a part of.
 History Tab: Keeps a log of recent communications.
 Settings: Access and customize app settings.

Making and Receiving Calls
1. Select a contact or channel.
2. Press and hold the PTT button to talk.
3. Release the button to listen.

Sending and Receiving Messages


1. Select a contact.
2. Tap the message icon.
3. Type your message and tap send.

Channels
 Creating a Channel: Go to the Channels tab, tap the "+" icon, and follow the prompts.
 Joining a Channel: Search for a channel by name or browse public channels.
 Managing a Channel: Access the channel settings to manage members and
permissions.

History and Replay


 Access the History tab to see past communications.
 Tap on a conversation to replay audio messages.

Status and Notifications


 Set your status to Available, Busy, or Offline.
 Customize notification preferences in the Settings menu.

 Add contacts by username, email, or phone number.
