Position Summary To assist the head coach in the daily and annual functioning/administration of the CIS Program. Provides assistance to the overall development of the student athlete into a Complete Champion in the areas of athletics, academic, spiritual and personal leadership. Serves and enhances the Complete Champion Approach. Duties & Responsibilities Assist in Team Leadership: Responsible to support the head coach with various team duties. These include, but not limited to individual player development (specializing and facilitating additional one-on-one coaching, small group sessions and recording and posting technical testing); responsible for team practices (working with the head coach on practice plan development, lead warm-up, as well as may run practices from time to time); responsible for videotape dubbing and breakdown analysis (prepping for upcoming games, develop scouting reports).

Team Support & Administration: Responsible to assist in day-to-day details of the sports program. This includes checking eligibility sheets, SOIS data entry, SRQ testing and results monitoring. Assists arranging flights, ground transportation, meal money and hotel accommodations as well as any additional bookings that needs to be done facilities for practices, meetings, matches and clinics. May also provide support surrounding the student athlete this includes academic and financial assistance (tutoring, enrolment, counselling, or other student life needs).

Collaborative Partnership Building: Assists the coach with developing alumni relations and communications, working with appropriate departments, other coachs and other assistant coachs. Also responsible to establish and maintain team guidelines, expectations and rule of conduct for the student athlete program, as well as complying with University guidelines and standards.

Recruitment (as directed by the coach and Director of Athletics): Responsible to scout high schools student athletes, develop follow up recruiting pools and networks, selling TWU, tabulating top 20 list, assisting in the recruiting weekend as well as being a liaison with Enrolment Services and Admissions for possible entry of students into the TWU community.

Servant-leader way of life: Assists in coordinating with sport ministry opportunities (spiritual discipleship) for student athletes. Responsible for acting in a manner that exemplifies Jesus Christ in all on and off campus contacts thereby living out the servant leadership mission of the university and contributing effectively towards achieving the institutional and Kingdom goals of the organization.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Standards & Requirements Education Bachelors degree and previous experience in related field. Prefer working towards a coaching certification (National Coaching Certification Program). Experience 1-2 years of experience in a varsity athletic program. Skills & Ability: Demonstrated skills and knowledge in elite level sport, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work easily with students, parents, head coach, faculty, staff, administration and members of the media with excellent communication skills. Personal Warm-hearted, dedicated, committed and mature evangelical Christian with a keen desire to serve in family, church, work and community.
