Purpose: Why do you want to reach your goal?

Values: What learner profile, attitude or ACG Value does your goal relate to? e.g.
hard work, perseverance, risk taker, communicator

Beliefs: What do you need to believe in order to reach this goal?

Discomfort: What is the discomfort you are feeling right now related to this goal?
(e.g. hard work, lack of social life, having to get organized)

Enjoyment: What enjoyment you will gain by not following through with this goal?
(relaxing, not stressed, more social life)

Consequences: What will be the consequence if you do not reach your goal? (e.g.
feeling disappointed with myself, disappointing my parents, low grades, need to
catch up)

Advantages: What advantages will you get by reaching your goal? (e.g. higher
grades, making your parents proud, being a good role model to your friends, gain
more friends)

Feelings: What feelings will you have when you achieve this goal? (e.g. proud,
satisfied, resilient, brave)

Habits: What habits will I need to create? (e.g. wake up earlier, leave home earlier,
use a study timetable, check Teams/Managebac twice a day, put my device away
until I’ve completed my homework, make a study area at home)
Action/Strategies: What action or strategies will you have to take to reach your goal? (e.g. buy folders, color code notebooks, use a study
timetable, speak to teachers, sit near the front of the class, take better notes, review notes at home, form study groups).
