CH. 4 - MADRIPOOR
166. Madripoor establishing.

NARRATOR
They follow The Hand to Madripoor,
hoping to stop them from delivering the
diamonds to Mystique.

167. L/J on water taxi. Flirty.

NARRATOR
Since Alaska, Logan and Jean have
started falling for each other. But
romance has to take a back seat.

The Hand know they’re being tracked

and split into two groups. Logan and Jean
have no choice but to split up and follow.

168. L outside Princess Bar.

NARRATOR
Jean heads to Hightown while Logan
scours Lowtown.

The sights and sounds trigger a memory

of Logan and Mystique hanging out at
The Princess Bar.

That must be where The Hand are

delivering the diamonds.

169. Logan sits at the bar talking to Tyger Tiger.

NARRATOR
Logan meets the bar’s owner, Tyger
Tiger. She says Mystique lived above the
bar but has moved on.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 170. L sips drink with T’s shotgun in face.

NARRATOR
When Logan reveals he’s looking for
payback, Tyger pulls a shotgun and tells
him to leave.

Before things can escalate, Logan is

ambushed by The Hand, who want
revenge for Deathstrike.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 171. Logan fights The Hand inside the Princess Bar.

NARRATOR
The battle tears through the bar, out into
the street, where Logan defeats his
would-be killers.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 172. T confronts L outside bar, after fight.

NARRATOR
Afterward, Tyger confronts Logan to say
she won’t him find Mystique because
Mystique is her wife.

She locks Logan out of the bar.

173. Logan climbs through a window into apt.

NARRATOR
Tyger said Mystique lived above the bar.
Logan breaks in, looking for a clue to
where Mystique lives now.

174. Logan searches weapon locker.

NARRATOR
Inside, his senses lead to a hidden locker
that holds a uniform from his days with
Team X.

It triggers flashes of memory. Using the

method Jean taught him, Logan sinks into
a living memory.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 175. FLASHBACK: Logan waits for Mystique in apt.

NARRATOR
In the memory, it’s 1984. Logan waits for
Mystique in Team X's crash pad above
the Princess Bar.

Sinister thinks his partner, Bolivar Trask,

is plotting against him. He wants Trask

found and implanted with a red diamond.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 176. FLASHBACK: L shows M photo of her and T.

NARRATOR
Mystique arrives late, claiming she was
running surveillance on Trask’s Reavers.
But Logan knows the truth.

Mystique was with the human she’s been

secretly dating – Tyger Tiger.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 177. FLASHBACK: Logan and Mystique fight.

NARRATOR
Logan is worried Tyger will tempt
Mystique to leave Team X. He warns her
that if the others find out, they’ll kill
Tyger. Mystique takes this as a threat
and attacks.

She admits she does want to leave, but

not just for Tyger. Then she storms out,
leaving Logan behind.

178. FLASHBACK: L outside apt, looking for M’s trail.

NARRATOR
Logan tracks Mystique through
Lowtown--

179. FLASHBACK: Logan stalks Reavers through a dark jungle.

NARRATOR
Into the jungle where Trask’s Reavers
watch for trespassers. Whatever Trask’s
doing, he doesn’t want people to know.

[DEPRIORITIZED] 180. FLASHBACK: L and M fight Proto-Sentinel.

NARRATOR
Logan catches up to Mystique in secret
factory where Trask has built a robot to
kill mutants.

Cornered, Trask activates his proto-

sentinel. It adapts to Logan and
Mystique’s powers, but they manage to
shut it down.

181. Flashback. Mystique and Logan confront Trask in his office.

NARRATOR
Logan and Mystique confront Trask in his
office.

Trask regrets getting into business with

Sinister. He sees the threat mutants pose

to “real humans” and won’t stop until

they’re wiped out.

182. FLASHBACK: Mystique kills Trask in office.

NARRATOR
Trask is promising mutant genocide –
and with his Sentinels, he might pull it
off. Shocked and angry, Mystique kills
him.

183. FLASHBACK: L and M have heart to heart on street.

NARRATOR
Mystique messed up. Sinister wanted
Trask alive and under control. She’ll have
to take Trask’s place.

Her life is about to change, so she asks

Logan to keep Tyger a secret. It’s all
Mystique has left.

184. FLASHBACK: Logan alone in the apartment, on the phone .

NARRATOR
Back at the apartment, Logan reports to
Sinister - Trask is dead. Mystique will fix
it.

Sinister asks about Tyger, revealing he

already knew. Logan lies to protect
Mystique, claiming she will never see
Tyger again.

185. Present. L wakes up, looks to Trask Tower in Hightown.

NARRATOR
Logan wakes knowing exactly where to
find Mystique. She’s still posing as
Bolivar Trask.

Logan concentrates hard, drawing Jean’s

psychic attention, and passes on what he
learned.

186. Jean in Hightown – across from Trask Tower.

NARRATOR

Now Jean knows where to go. The s

Hand must be delivering the diamonds to
Trask Tower.

187. Jean fights The Hand in an under-construction skyscraper.

188. Hand meet Trask and Reavers in Trask penthouse.

NARRATOR
Jean scales a construction site next door
and levitates over to the Trask Tower
penthouse.

Inside, The Hand are delivering the last

shipment of diamonds to Mystique, who’s
disguised as Trask.

189. J vs Hand/Reavers. Mystique escapes with diamonds.

NARRATOR
Jean exposes Mystique, who grabs the
diamonds and runs.

Jean tries to follow but is delayed by

Reavers and The Hand.

190. Jean hovers outside the tower, fighting helicopters .

NARRATOR
Jean blasts her way outside the tower,
using her powers to fend off the Reavers
as she descends.

191. On street, J walks away from Tower, blending in.

NARRATOR
Jean makes herself scarce and reaches
out to Logan, telling him Mystique
escaped with the diamonds.

192. L on roof, tracking Tyger in Lowtown.

NARRATOR
It’s okay - Logan has a lead. He tracks
Tyger through Lowtown, hoping she’ll
lead him to Mystique.

But when Tyger enters a jungle, Logan

completely loses her scent. That
shouldn’t be possible.

193. L/J in mutant village talking to Tyger.

NARRATOR
Jean meets Logan and scans the jungle
for Tyger – and discovers the jungle is
just an illusion, created to hide a mutant
village.

Tyger led them here to deliver a

message – Mystique wants to talk. If
Logan wants the diamonds, he’ll meet
her somewhere public and safe.

194. Logan and Jean talk to Martinique (Mastermind).

NARRATOR
Logan thanks it’s a trap. Tyger suggests
he meet the villagers.

The mutants were brought here by

Mystique. They live happy, free lives.
Neither Logan nor Jean have seen
anything like it before.

195. Jean sits in a circle with other telepaths.

196. Logan plays soccer with the mutant kids; J watches.

NARRATOR
Taking a break from their hunt, Jean
rediscovers the sense of community she
lost after Callisto’s safehouse was
destroyed by Team X.

Logan connects with the villagers. This is

the life Walter wanted him to find. A life
Logan never thought was possible for
someone like him.

197. L/J sit alone, watch village, be happy.

NARRATOR
Seeing each other in the village seals it –
they’re falling in love. Despite being

wounded and scarred, they care deeply

about others.

This is the future they both want. But

there’s still work to do.

198. Tyger approaches Logan and Jean, who are holding hands .

199. Logan and Jean approach Wheelers & Dealers Casino in Hightown.

NARRATOR
Logan agrees to meet Mystique. If he can
change, why can’t she?

Tyger sends them to a Hightown casino.

It’s glitzy on the surface, but they can
sense danger beneath.

200. Inside casino, L/J are ambushed by The Hand .

NARRATOR
Inside, they’re ambushed by The Hand,
who have regrouped after failing to kill
them twice.

201. Mystique/Reavers save L/J from Hand.

NARRATOR
Mystique intervenes and orders her
Reavers to kill The Hand – they’re no
longer welcome in Madripoor.

202. M talks with L/J in casino backroom.

NARRATOR
They adjourn to a private room. Logan
asks for the diamonds, but Mystique has
them in a safe place for now. First, they
need to talk…

Mystique’s had enough of Sinister and

wants out. Only Logan has ever escaped
Team X. She needs his help.

203. Reavers revolt, attack. L/J fight. M runs.

NARRATOR

When the Reavers get wind of Mystique’s

plan, they revolt.

Mystique runs for it, leaving Logan and

Jean to fight alone.

204. Reaver tackles Logan out window, fall to river.

NARRATOR
It spills outside, onto the river, where
Logan fights Reavers atop speeding
water taxis.

205. L fight on water taxi. M with sniper rifle on bridge.

NARRATOR
As the battle rages, Logan catches
Mystique’s scent on the wind. She’s
returned. And she’s armed.

206. FLASHBACK. Mystique in door, Logan about to kill Tyger.

207. Mystique POV. Logan in crosshairs.

NARRATOR
Mystique shoots Logan in the head.

208. Logan, unconscious, sinks down into dark, deep waters .

NARRATOR
He’s knocked out and falls into the river,
where he drifts into a living memory...

209. FLASHBACK: Trask leads L and Sinister on facility tour.

NARRATOR
Back in 1984, Mystique – as Trask - leads
Sinister and Logan on a tour of Trask
Industries.

210. FLASHBACK: Reavers ambush them. L fights.

NARRATOR
Sinister is amused when they’re attacked
by Reavers who are still loyal to the real
Trask.

211. FLASHBACK: L checks on wounded M/Trask. Sinister mad.

NARRATOR
Sinister’s mood darkens when he sees
Logan’s concern for Mystique. They’ve
grown too close.

212. FLASHBACK: Sinister gives L secret instructions.

NARRATOR
Sinister gives Logan a secret task he
claims will help Mystique.

Using information from Sinister, Logan

hunts down the Reavers still loyal to
Trask, and kills them.

213. FLASHBACK: Logan attacks Reavers in dirty, rundown apartment.

214. FLASHBACK: L crouched on balcony of Hightown apt.

NARRATOR
According to Sinister, the final loyalist is
in Hightown. But when Logan arrives, he
finds no Reaver.

This is Tyger Tiger’s apartment.

215. FLASHBACK: Controlled Logan looms over sleeping Tyger.

NARRATOR
Sinister knows Logan lied about Tyger to
protect Mystique. Now Logan must be
punished.

Sinister controls Logan and threatens to

kill Tyger in her sleep. But it’s all for
show.

206. FLASHBACK. Mystique in door, Logan about to kill Tyger.

216. FLASHBACK. Mystique throws Logan out the window.

NARRATOR
Sinister relinquishes control of Logan just
as Mystique arrives.

Mystique throws Logan through a window

before he can explain. The sound wakes

Tyger, who flees without ever seeing

Logan.

217. FLASHBACK. Logan falls down the side of the skyscraper.

NARRATOR
Logan falls 50 stories. The impact
shatters his bones and the diamond.

The bones will heal. The diamond can be

replaced. But his friendship with
Mystique is dead.

218. FLASHBACK: Sinister collects broken L from sidewalk.

NARRATOR
Sinister collects Logan’s broken body off
the sidewalk and delivers an important
lesson.

Logan doesn’t get to care about people.

He is Sinister’s weapon. And that’s all
he’ll ever be.

219. Present. Mystique and J pull Logan out of water. ,

NARRATOR
Logan wakes up on the docks, fished out
of the water by Jean and Mystique, who
apologizes for shooting him. She knew
he’d survive, and it was the only way to
deescalate things.

220. Mystique, Logan, and Jean enter the village.

221. Village. Tyger/Mystique and L/J.

NARRATOR
They return to the village – Mystique’s
main act of rebellion against Sinister.

Any mutant Sinister deemed useless was

sent to The Hand for sacrifice. Mystique
built the village to hide and protect those
mutants.

Mutants with useful powers were sent to

Sinister. In fact, some are shipping out
tonight.

222. Mystique and L shake hands.

NARRATOR
If Logan and Jean help Mystique rescue
the mutants, she’ll tell them where to
find the diamonds.

Logan agrees, but they’ll do it his way.

He’ll get the diamonds while Jean and
Mystique save the mutants.

If it works, they’ll figure out how to get

Mystique out of Team X.

223. J and Mystique at docks. Mystique pointing out yacht.

NARRATOR
Jean and Mystique head to the docks
where the yacht full of kidnapped
mutants waits off-shore.

224. Jean attacks the yacht alone.

NARRATOR
Mystique draws off the Reavers guarding
the docks, and Jean attacks the yacht
alone.

225. Jean drives a motorboat full of rescued mutants.

NARRATOR
She frees the captured mutants and
takes them back to the village.

226. L returns to old mine where Trask first made Sentinels.

NARRATOR
Meanwhile, Logan heads to Trask’s old
sentinel factory, where Mystique hid the
diamonds.

227. Inside the facility, Logan fights Reavers .

228. Logan fights Delta Sentinels in the facility.

NARRATOR
Logan fights his way inside and discovers
Sinister has continued building Trask’s
Sentinels.

Logan tears the factory apart, making

sure it can’t produce more Sentinels.

229. Logan finds empty crate of diamonds.

NARRATOR
Logan finds the crate of diamonds and
realizes Mystique played them. The
diamonds are gone – they’ve already
been used.

230. Split-Panel: Jean in village/Logan outside Trask Factory.

NARRATOR
Jean reaches out to Logan, letting him
know the mutants are safe.

Logan tells her it was a setup. The

diamonds are gone. He’s on his way to
find Mystique now.

231. L enters Princess Bar. Mystique and Tyger ready to leave.

NARRATOR
He tracks Mystique to the Princess Bar,
where she and Tyger are about to leave
Madripoor for good.

When confronted, Mystique admits she

sold him out to Sinister.

232. Tyger runs while Mystique and Logan size each other up.

233. Logan throws Mystique through the front window of the bar.

NARRATOR
That’s all Logan needs to hear. Their
truce is over. Time to settle the score.

234. Mystique morphs, runs from Logan into crowd.

NARRATOR

Logan wants to know how much it cost to

sell him out.

Mystique laughs and vanishes into a

crowd. Sinister wanted Logan, but he was
way more interested in Jean.

235. Village. Jean sees rescued mutants are all controlled.

NARRATOR
Back at the village, Sinister takes control
of the rescued mutants.
He gave them red diamonds, knowing
Logan and Jean would rescue them.

It was a trap, and Jean walked right into

it.

236. Lowtown. Old man (Mystique) attacks L.

NARRATOR
In Lowtown, Mystique ambushes Logan,
keeping him from returning to the
village.

Logan tries to kill her – but not for Walter.

Not anymore. He wants to kill her for
threatening Jean.

237. Village. Jean uses telepathy against controlled mutants.

NARRATOR
At the same time, Jean fights the Sinister-
controlled mutants.

Desperate, Jean uses her telepathy to

override Sinister’s control, like she did in
Alaska.

238. Mutants slam red diamond into Jean’s head.

NARRATOR
But the mutants are too quick for her.
They swarm her and implant her with a
red diamond.

Jean is under Sinister’s control.

239. Logan has Mystique pinned to the ground, ready to kill.

NARRATOR
Logan beats Mystique doesn’t kill her. He
asks why she sold them out.

It was the price to buy her freedom from

Sinister. Now she and Tyger can live in
peace. She sold them out for love.

Logan sheathes is claws. It’s time to put

revenge aside and focus on what he
loves – Jean.

240. Logan stands down. Mystique, surprised.

241. L and M see all of Lowtown is controlled.

NARRATOR
When Madripoor suddenly falls silent,
Logan realizes it might be too late.

242. L and M in pain as Sinister seizes control of them.

NARRATOR
Through Jean, Sinister can control anyone
and everyone, without the need for
diamonds.

243. A controlled Logan stumbles down Lowtown street.

244. Controlled L at mutant village, kneels before Controlled Jean.

NARRATOR
Including Logan.

Finally subservient, Logan returns to the

village and kneels before his master.

245. Controlled Jean looks down on controlled Logan.

246. Jean screams as the red diamond in her forehead shatters.

NARRATOR
Jean maintains awareness, even with
Sinister in control.

Seeing Logan forced to kneel breaks her

heart. She won’t let him become
Sinister’s tool again.

Through sheer force of will, Jean breaks

free of Sinister’s control.

247. Logan rushes to Jean, stunned on the ground.

NARRATOR
She collapses from the effort.

Free of Sinister’s control, Logan rushes to

Jean’s side.

248. L holds J. Looks up at Alpha Sentinel bursting out of mountain.

NARRATOR
But Sinister won’t give them up so easily.
He activates the secret weapon hidden
beneath the sentinel factory – the Alpha
Sentinel.

249. Logan attacks Alpha Sentinel; is blasted by the palm laser.

NARRATOR
Logan attacks the Alpha Sentinel, but
he’s still weak after being controlled by
Sinister.

The Alpha Sentinel makes quick work of

him.

250. Alpha Sentinel’s chest opens and swallows Logan and Jean.

NARRATOR
Conscious, but unable to fight back,
Logan is taken by the Sentinel along with
Jean.

Wherever the Alpha Sentinel is taking

them, they’ll at least face it together…
