I. Ignatius Scholarship is applicable for students with 40% or more of the following Disabilities
as specified in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016: Blindness, Low Vision, Leprosy
– cured persons, Hearing Impairment (deaf & hard of hearing), Locomotor Disability, Dwarfism,
Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular
Dystrophy, Chronic Neurological Conditions, Specific Learning Disabilities, Multiple Sclerosis,
Speech and Language Disability, Thalassemia, Haemophilia, Sickle Cell Disease, Acid Attack
Victim, Parkinson’s Disease, and Multiple Disabilities.

II. For Nihil Ultra Scholarship, the student must have a minimum 95% marks in both Class X &
Class XII board examinations. Marks will be calculated as per CBSE/CISCE/State Board
guidelines.

III. For Lafont Scholarship, the student must have a minimum 90% marks in both Class X &
Class XII board examinations. Marks will be calculated as per CBSE/CISCE/State Board
guidelines.

IV. For Meritorious Sportsperson Scholarship, the student must have National/State Level
Achievements and must be recommended by the Sports Officer.

OTHER MANDATORY CRITERIA:


1. The student must not incur any arrear/backlog paper(s) in the current semester examination.
2. There are no fees due from the student for the current semester.
3. The student must not have any record of disciplinary action against him/her in any of the
preceding semester by the disciplinary committee of the University.
4. The student must not be a recipient of any Government Scholarship or any other Scholarship
or Financial Assistance at the time of applying.

PROCESS OF APPLICATION:
Upon the publication of the scholarship notification, the student has to login and apply through the
student portal. They are required to submit the print-out of the Scholarship Form to the Office of the
Registrar along with the following supporting documents listed below.

A) Documents regarding Annual Income:


1. Income Tax Return/TDS Statement/Form-16 of parent(s)/guardian for the Financial Year 2023-
2024 i.e., ITR Assessment Year 2024-2025 or most recent.
2. Annual Information Statement (AIS) for 2023-2024 of parent(s)/guardian available in the
Income Tax Portal of Govt. of India. AIS can be downloaded from AIS Menu after logging in the
ITR e-filing portal (eportal.incometax.gov.in) using the user ID and password. AIS of both
parents are mandatory.
3. Bank Statement/Bank Passbook of parent(s)/guardian for last one year.
4. Latest Pay Slip issued by the employer or Latest Salary Statement issued by the employer or
Income Certificate (in case of business) issued by competent Govt. authority of
parent(s)/guardian.

B) Documents regarding Academic Performance:


1. Marksheets and Pass Certificates of Secondary (Class X), Higher Secondary (Class XII) and
Final/Consolidated Marksheet of Graduation (for PG students only).
2. If any Scholarship/Fees Concession/Financial Assistance was received at the last attending
School/College/Institute/University, document(s) regarding the same.
3. Letter of recommendation from the Parish Priest (for Christian Students only).

Note:
1. Income related documents are not required to apply for Merit Scholarships.
2. Mere possession of eligibility does not ensure the grant of scholarship.
3. Scholarship applications may not be considered if the hardcopy is received after the last date.
4. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the student with regard to their selection for the above
scholarship shall be considered as disqualification.
5. Incomplete application form with/without supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
6. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to review, modify or cancel the grant of
Scholarship due to changes in academic progress or general conduct of the student in
accordance with the University rules and regulations or due to the unavailability of funding
from the sponsoring body.
7. If the student is found to furnish any false information or is recommended for any disciplinary
action by the Disciplinary Committee at any stage of the course, his/her scholarship shall stand
revoked.
8. The University may seek additional information/supporting documents from the student, if
required, on the basis of the information provided in the Scholarship Application form and the
enclosed documents for further scrutiny.
9. The Deans of the respective Departments/Faculties may call the student and their
parent(s)/guardians to appear before them for a short interview.
10. The decision of the Vice-Chancellor of the University shall be final and binding with respect to
grant of scholarship.

11. If a student is unable to meet the above-mentioned requirements for renewal of the scholarship
in any subsequent semester(s), his/her scholarship shall be cancelled for the remaining
duration of his program.
12. The University will not be responsible for postal delay, if any.
