CONDITIONALS

Objectives:
1. Identify four types of conditionals,
2. Differentiate the patterns and uses
of the types of conditionals;
3. Construct conditional sentences
from a specific situation.
Zero Conditional
IF + PRESENT SIMPLE. , PRESENT SIMPLE / IMPERATIVE
Present Simple: s-form / base form

Used for real conditions; stating the obvious.


Used in expressing general truth or advice.

If I turn on the light, the room gets bright.


If I drink coffee, I don't fall asleep at night.
If you find my wallet, put it inside my drawer.

Used for an unreal (imaginary, impossible, contrary to


known facts) situation and its probable result.

If I were taller, I would join pageants. OF THE NUMBER OF SUBJECT.
If Beyonce were a boy even just for a day, she'd roll out of bed in the morning
and throw on what she wanted, and go.
