4 Measure and mark the required length.

4 Cut the pipe using a pipe cutter. NOTE: Do not use a hacksaw.

4 To reduce the risk of leaks, ensure you check the cut pipe is free of imperfections.

4 Fit the correct insert into the pipe. White = PEX Pipe Blue = Polybutylene 4 Measure and mark the correct insertion depth on the pipe.

4 Insert the pipe into the tting, ensuring it passes through the 0-Ring, until it reaches the stop point and correct insertion depth.

4 Check the assembly is secure by pulling the pipe away from the tting.

NOTE: To identify hot and cold water circuits, red and blue collet clips can be tted.

Connection to a brass compression tting
Brass olive Soft copper olive

4 Remove the nut.

4 Remove brass olive. NOTE: To connect to a brass copper tting, a soft copper olive must be used.

4 Replace with the soft copper olive.

4 Fit the insert into the pipe.

4 Push the pipe into the compression tting.

4 Ensure the nut is tightened sufciently.

Copper pipe installation

4 As with plastic pipe, measure and mark the required length. 4 To connect copper, ensure the pipe is cut using a rotational pipe cutter. NOTE: Do not use a hacksaw.

4 To reduce the risk of leaks, ensure you remove any burs or swarf.

4 As with plastic pipe, ensure the correct insertion depth is achieved when using copper.
