Eight bags – A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are kept one above the other on eight different shelves
where the bottommost shelf is numbered 1 and the topmost shelf is numbered 8. Each
bag contains a different number of candies - 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 27, 30 and 35.
Note: The number of candies in each bag is a common multiple of the shelf number
of the bag which is kept immediately above it. The number of candies in the bag
which is kept on the topmost shelf is a multiple of 9.
Only four bags are kept between A and the bag contains 30 candies. Only two bags are
kept between F and the bag which is kept two boxes below A. The number of bags kept
above F is two less than the number of bags kept below D, which contains 15 candies. The
Sum of the number of candies in D and G is equal to the number of candies in C. E is kept
two bags above the bag which contains 12 candies. The number of bags kept between B
and D is one less than the number of bags kept between C and the bag which contains 18
candies.

C bought the car before 1989. The difference between the year in which C and B bought
the car is 3 years. H, who is the father in law of A, has two children. Both the children of H
are of same gender and only one child is married. The difference between the year in
which C and D bought the car is a perfect square. D is the sister in law of E, who is the
grandchild of H. Both A and E bought the car after 1998. C is the brother of E and nephew
of F. A, who has no sibling, does not buy the car last among all. H bought the car in an odd
numbered year and before B, who is the son of G. Only one person bought the car between
A and G. The one who is the wife of H bought before the one who is the daughter in law of
B and after the one who is the brother in law of A. The one who is the brother in Law of A

In a building, there are different numbers of floors and arranged in such a way that the
lowermost floor is numbered as 1, the floor immediately above it is numbered 2 and so
on. The height of each floor is the same. Information about only a few floors are given. Not
more than three known persons are standing adjacent to each other. A maximum of one
person stands on each floor.
Note: The persons whose names are in consecutive alphabetical order are not
standing adjacent floor to each other. i.e., B neither stands adjacent to the floor of A
nor C.
Person A stands on the sixth floor from the top. Only three floors are in between A and E.
Only one floor is between E and V, who stands below A. Only two persons stand above W.
Not more than two persons stand below G and B stands adjacent to G. B and G are not
standing at the bottom. C stands below G but not immediately below. Only one person
stands between B and H, who is not an immediate neighbor of C. An odd number of floors
are between V and J, who stands above H and below V but not more than three floors
between V and J. V stands between E and H. H is not standing adjacent to J and there are
maximum two floors are between them. The building has an odd number of floors but not
more than 25 and not less than 20. D stands on an odd numbered floor above V but not
below A.I stands immediately above E. D doesn’t stand on the top floor. More than eight
persons stand between E and B.

The third row from the bottom contains the consecutive alphabet starting from A from
right to left.
The second row from the top contains the consecutive odd numbers starting from 11
from left to right.
The last row contains W, X, Z, N, M, Y in alphabetical order from left to right.
Condition to find the numeric value of the letters:
i) Letters having an even place value – 20
ii) Letters having an odd place value -10
iii) Letters having a prime numbered place value (odd or even) – 15
(Condition iii has more priority than conditions i and condition ii)
Note: The value of a string is obtained by adding the numeric values of the element
represented by the position of symbols i.e. rows and alphabets i.e. columns in the
matrix.
