Indravati National Park in Bijapur district
• Declared as a National Park in 1982
• Area 1258.37 𝑘𝑚2
• The park get its name from the name of Indravati
river Which flow from East to West and marks the
reserve’s northern boundary with the Indian state of
Maharashtra.
• It has high biodiversity and a small population of
endangered wild Buffalo.
• This park is home to one of the lost world Asian
Buffalo populations.
Flora:-
1)Southern tropical moist mixed deciduous forests.
2)Southern tropical dry deciduous forest.
Mixed forests without Teak.
Mixed forests with teak.
Dry Evergreen forests
3) Grasslands
• Fauna:- Tiger, leopard, striped hyena, wolf, common
mongoose, sloth bear, fox, hare, nilgai, wild boar, gaur.
• Grass area:- Pilloor, gandapuri and North West corner of
reserve.
• Reptiles:- Freshwater crocodiles, common monitor lizards,
chameleons, common kraits, cobras and Russell’s vipers.
• Indravati (kutru) National Park corridor:- •
Together with Bhairamgarh and Pamed wildlife
sanctuaries the tiger reserve constitutes the
Indravati landscape. It has connectivity with several
tiger reserves.

3)Khanna (Madhya Pradesh)
Kanger valley National Park:- Jagdalpur
Year of Notification 1982
Area 200 𝑘𝑚2
India’s most dense forest it is renowned for its landscape
beauty, biodiversity and its wild range of flora and fauna.
• Derives its name from the kanger river that flows
through it.
• The park is located along the Bank of the river
Kholaba.
• The cuddapah group of rock formations, as well as the
Vindhyan group of rock formations are the most
prevalent rock formations in the park. Shales are found
in this park.
• The soils are predominantly residual in character
and are yellowish-brown, brown red, reddish and
brown in hue.
• The state bird of Chhattisgarh- the basstar Hill
Myna is the most famous species.
• Fauna:- Tiger, leopard, mouse deer, Rhesus
Macaque, sloth bear, flying squirrel, Wildcat,
chital, sambar.
• Flora:- Teak, Haldu, sal, Tendu, Mahua, saja,
Bija, Dhavara, tinsa, suria, harra.
• Grasses:- chir, phulbhari, Kans, kusal, khus etc.
Guru Ghasidas National Park (Koriya district)
• Also known as the Sanjay National Park
• Also located in Sidhi,Singrauli district of Madhya pradesh
• Area 144.71 𝑘𝑚2 .
• 4th tiger reserve in the Chhattisgarh by the national tiger
conservation authority NTCA.
• It act as a corridor for tiger moving between Bandhavgarh
(M.P.) and palamu tiger reserve.
• Asiatic cheetal was last spotted in this National Park.
FLORA:- Mostly covered by a mix of sub tropical and deciduous
forests
The primary species of flora is the Sal tree or Sakhua
Other species are teak, saja ,salai ,mahua, sisham, kari, gurjan,
achar, tendu and bamboo
Fauna :-
Mammals tigers, leopards, nilgai, jackal, antelope, wild boar,
bison, hyena porcupine
Birds parakeets ,bulbuls ,rufus treepie, red headed vulture and
racket tailed drongo
Reptiles:-
Cobra monitor lizard and python
