Let the young people answer the questions below:

1. What are the two commands for youth?
2. Whom should we set an example? In what areas?
3. Fill in the blank: “The ________ can bring death or life.”
4. Fill in the blank: “There is power in your ________.”
5. Complete this verse from James 1:19 without opening your bible: “…You must be quick to ______, slow
to _______, and slow to _______.”
6. Before speaking, what should you ask yourself? (why do I want to say this?, What do I hope to
accomplish by saying this?, Will these words encourage/discourage someone?, Are these words I would
be glad if I said them?)
7. What will you do if you are having a moment of intense emotion (anger, frustration, sadness)? (take a

Based on the situations below, who is/are the good people?
1. Two children (brothers) are playing, and the youngest breaks a lamp, the older
takes the blame to save the younger from a spanking.
2. Going to the library after lunch, your friend didn’t tell you that you have a bit of
lettuce in between your teeth.
3. He said, “I was late because I grabbed the wrong report” than “I’m late because
after I grabbed the report, I realized one page was missing, and when I went back, I
had to reprint the entire report because the page numbers were off and the
heading was on a separate sheet. I then stopped to use the bathroom.”

WORDS UP!
Ask them to share some of their experiences to which they have applied the principles studied before
and to which they have the difficulty applying.
God wants us to be an example in every way and he wants us to start now. However, it cannot happen
unless we desire it. God answers the desires of our hearts according to His will. Thus, He wants us to be an
example to the believers in our home (family), school, work, community and all others. But why is it so
hard to be an example of the believers? Maybe because you have the wrong model, fixing your eyes
on other things. Maybe because you only talk about it b ut don’t have the desire to truly do it.
Always remember that you have the Holy spirit within you who can empower you to do what glorifies
and honors the Lord. All you must do is ask.
Remember also that in praising the Lord, it involves the life that we live every day and the words that we
speak and sing. Because our Christian life is not only between the four corners of this room but far
beyond

WAKE UP!

Ask:
1. How would you like to improve?
2. Do you want God to be the master of your life in your words/ spe ech? Ask Him.

WATCH OUT IN PRAYER:

Ask youth to pray silently.
