Title: Facing Contemporary Challenges in Managing Organizations “Industry Specific

Experience” in Bangladesh

Word Count: 2000 words (+/-) 10%

1. Assignment Overview
This assignment is designed to help students critically examine contemporary management
challenges faced by organizations in a specific industry in Bangladesh. The focus will be on
identifying particular difficulties to the Bangladesh context and exploring how these
challenges affect organizational management in the specific industry.
2. Learning Objectives
By the end of this assignment, students should be able to:
● Understand the specific challenges faced by industries in Bangladesh.
● Demonstrate critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
3. Structure and Formatting Guidelines
Cover Page:

Title of the assignment
Group list of members: Including all members' full names and student ID

Submission date
Group Contribution Page:
All group members' name, ID, pictures, and contribution percentages out of 100% with the
signature of everyone agreed to the percentage allocation.
Table of Contents:
List of headings with corresponding page numbers (if included, ensure it is well-organized).

4. Assignment Sections
1. Introduction (350-400 words)
● Introduce the specific industry in Bangladesh that you will focus on (e.g., textile and
garment, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, agriculture, etc.).
● Provide background on why the industry is important to Bangladesh’s economy and
society.
● Briefly mention the contemporary challenges that managers face in this industry.
● State the aim of the assignment and what you intend to achieve.
2. Overview of the Industry in Bangladesh (550-600 words)
● Discuss the historical background of the industry in Bangladesh, its growth, and its
significance to the country’s GDP.
● Describe the current market conditions, trends, and major players in the industry.
● Highlight any recent developments or changes that have impacted the industry.
3. Identification of Contemporary Management Challenges (750-800 words)
● Identify and explain 3-4 major contemporary challenges faced by managers in the
selected industry. These challenges could include (Depends on your industry):
● Technological advancements and digital transformation
● Regulatory compliance and government policies
● Labor shortages, labor unrest, or talent retention
● Economic uncertainty and inflation
● Environmental and sustainability concerns
● Global competition or supply chain disruptions
● Use local examples and reports to illustrate these challenges (e.g., case studies from
Bangladeshi organizations).
● Support your points with relevant data or citations from credible sources such as
industry reports, government publications, or academic articles.
4. Conclusion (150-200 words)
● Summarize the key points discussed in the assignment.
● Reiterate the importance of addressing contemporary challenges in the industry to
ensure sustainable growth and success.
● Offer any final thoughts or suggestions for future research or considerations related to
the industry in Bangladesh.

5. Formatting Guidelines
Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font.
Line Spacing: 1.5 spacing.
Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.
Justification: Left-align text.
Headings: Use clear headings and subheadings to organize your content. Headings should be
bold and use size 14 font, while subheadings should be bold in size 12.
Referencing: Use APA 7th referencing style consistently throughout the assignment.
Citations: Ensure that all data, ideas, or theories not originally yours are properly cited
otherwise these will be treated as plagiarised.
Figures and Tables: If applicable, include figures and tables to illustrate your points. Ensure
these are properly labeled and referenced in the text.

6. Research and Referencing Requirements

● Use a minimum of 5-7 credible sources, including peer-reviewed academic articles,
government publications, and industry reports specific to Bangladesh.
● Ensure that sources are up-to-date and relevant to the current industry challenges.
● Avoid using non-credible or outdated sources such as blogs or opinion-based
websites.

7. Submission Guidelines
● Ensure that the assignment is proofread for grammatical accuracy and coherence.
● Submit the assignment in Word format within the deadline.
● Upload the final document to the course submission portal in the Google Classroom
before the deadline and also submit a hard copy to your instructor.

● Begin your research early and focus on gathering industry-specific data and ensure
proper teamwork to support your analysis.
● Use examples from Bangladeshi organizations to illustrate challenges and proposed

sources.
● Do not forget to follow proper citations and read the guidelines more than twice if
required.
● Divide the group load equally and address contributions with strict submission
deadlines for everyone earlier before the submission date.
● If someone doesn’t work properly feel free to mark contributions according to
performance.
● Proofread your report carefully to avoid grammatical or formatting errors. Use
Grammarly software or other free version software for producing error-free reports.
Also, citation generator software is allowed to follow APA 7th referencing style
throughout the report. Besides, you can use free plagiarism tracker software to
check the percentage of plagiarism before submissions.
