HEART DISEASE DATA-SET

Summary: The dataset consists of heart disease-related data,

including patient demographics (age, sex), medical
measurements (blood pressure, cholesterol, heart rate), and
diagnostic information (chest pain type, electrocardiographic
results, etc.). It contains 920 records with features indicating
the likelihood and severity of heart disease. Key predictors
include the number of major vessels, ST depression, and age,
with heart disease severity ranging from 0 (no disease) to 4
(most severe).
Types of Attributes:
1. id: Unique for each individual.
2. age: Age of the patient.
3. sex: Gender of the patient (Male/Female).
4. dataset: Indicates the source of the data (e.g., Cleveland).
5. cp: Chest pain type (e.g., typical angina, asymptomatic).
6. trestbps: Resting blood pressure.
7. chol: Serum cholesterol.
8. fbs: Fasting blood sugar (True/False).
9. restecg: Resting electrocardiographic results (e.g., lv hypertrophy,
normal).
10.thalch: Maximum heart rate achieved.
11.exang: Exercise-induced angina (True/False).
12.oldpeak: ST depression induced by exercise relative to rest.
13.slope: Slope of the peak exercise ST segment (e.g., upsloping, flat).
14.ca: Number of major vessels coloured by fluoroscopy.
15.thal: Type of thalassemia (e.g., fixed defect, normal, reversible defect).
16.num: Diagnosis of heart disease (where 0 = no disease, 1-4 = different
severity levels of heart disease).

Summary Statistics:
 Age: The patients range from 28 to 77 years old, with an average age of
53.5 years.
 Resting Blood Pressure (trestbps): Ranges from 0 to 200 mm Hg, with a
mean value of around 132 mm Hg.
 Cholesterol (chol): Varies widely from 0 to 603 mg/dL, with an average
of about 199 mg/dL.
 Maximum Heart Rate (thalch): Averages around 137 beats per minute,
ranging from 60 to 202.
 Oldpeak: This ST depression measurement ranges from -2.6 to 6.2, with
an average of 0.88, indicating varying levels of abnormality induced by
exercise.
 Number of Major Vessels (ca): The number of major vessels coloured by
fluoroscopy ranges from 0 to 3, with a mean of about 0.67.
 Diagnosis of Heart Disease (num): Suggests that older patients tend to
have a higher likelihood of heart disease and indicates that lower
cholesterol and higher maximum heart rate are associated with a reduced
likelihood of heart disease.
