2024 SMK SACRED HEART BADMINTON TOURNAMENT SCRIPT

Introduction and - Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, organizing


Welcome: committee, participants, and badminton enthusiasts. A
very good morning to you all!
- On behalf of the JCI Junior SMK Sacred Heart, I am
honored to welcome you to the 2024 SMK Sacred Heart
Badminton Tournament. This event is a celebration of not
just the sport we love, but also the spirit of community,
sportsmanship, and camaraderie that badminton fosters
among us.
Opening remarks - We are delighted to have such a fantastic turnout today,
with participants from Form 6 of SMK Sacred Heart.
Your presence here signifies the importance of this event
and the passion we all share for badminton.
- At JCI, we believe in empowering young people to create
positive change. Sports, particularly badminton, plays a
crucial role in building character, discipline, and
teamwork among our youth. This tournament is a
testament to our commitment in nurturing these values.
Acknowledgements - I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our
sponsor, JCI Sibu, who sponsored the shuttlecocks for
these two days of tournament. Their generous
contributions have made this event possible. A big thank
you also goes to our organizing committee and volunteers
for their tireless efforts in planning and executing this
tournament.
- Special thanks to the participants who had showed great
sportsmanship and teamwork. We hope that each one of
you gain either new experience, skills, knowledge, and
even new friend.
Introduction of - Now, I am delighted to introduce our esteemed guests for
Special Guests today.
- Our first guest is our Senior Assistance of Form 6,
- Mother JCI of JCI Sibu representative,
- We are honoured to have you with us, and we look
forward to your word of wisdom and encouragement.
Speech by special - First of all, we would like to invite, Mr. Alexius Alfred
Guest Ting, Mother JCI of JCI Sibu representative, to deliver
his/her speech. Mdm./ Mr. Alexius please.
- Thank you to Mr. Alexius for his words of wisdom.
- Next, we would like to invite Mdm. Lai May Ging, Senior
assistance of Form 6 of SMK Sacred Heart to deliver her
speech. Mdm. Lai please.
- Thank you to Mdm. Lai for her words of wisdom and
encouragement.
Tournament details - Before we proceed, let me provide you with some details
about today’s tournament.:
- The matches will be held at SMK Sacred Heart Centennial
Hall.
- The tournament will follow single elimination format.
- We have three categories: men single, woman double, and
mixed double.
- We urge all participants to adhere to the schedule and
conduct themselves with the highest level of
sportsmanship.
Official Opening of - Without further ado, it is my great pleasure to declare the
the tournament 2024 SMK Sacred Heart Badminton Tournament is
officially open.
- Let the games begin, and may the best players win!
Remember, it’s not just about victory, but also about
playing the games with integrity and joy. Good luck to all
the participants.

matches, exceptional talent, and the true spirit of
sportsmanship.
