Common Household/Urban Pest


 COCKROACH
• They mostly found in darkness, warmth, dampness and plenty of organic debris is available.
• They contaminate more food than eat.
• It is a disease producing organism, these include food poisoning, nausa, abdominal cramps,
vomiting, diarrhea, dysentery and other illness.
• It excrement and cast skin also contain a number of allergens to many people exhibit allergic
responses, such as skin rashes, watery eyes and sneezing.

Management:
• Sanitation  Deny Entry Herbal/Chemical treatment (Spray and Gel)
 TERMITES
• These are social insects living in colonies and they prefer things that contain cellulose and
moisture.
• Termites prefer cellulose which they obtain primarily from wood and also dissolve lime, mortar
and cement.
• They cause damage to wooden structures and other materials.
Management:-
• Pre-Construction Anti-termite Treatments (Soil application by drenching/piping)
• Post Construction Anti-termite Treatments (Soil application by Drill + Fill + Seal)
• Wood/Furniture Anti-termite Treatments (at Contact point of wood work)

 MOSQUITOES
• Anopheles (Malaria), Culex (Encephalitis, Filariasis) and Aedes (Yellow fever, Dengue,
Chikanguniya) genera are known to transmit the disease causal agents.
• Mosquito saliva can trigger skin irritation, leading to discomfort and anxiety.
Management:-
• Destroy breeding places.
• Preventing egg laying.
• Manage larvae by spraying of Larvicides.
• Manage Adults by spraying/thermal fogging of Adulticide.
 HOUSEFLY
• Houseflies are potential vectors of a wide range of diseases such as dysentery, gastroe,
tubercülosis which move from filth to food indiscriminately.
• The numerous crevices in their sponging mouth parts harbors bacteria and viruses that can be
easily transferred to any surface they land or feed upon.

• Destroy breeding places.
• Preventing entry.
• Use different Traps
• Larval and Adults control by chemical treatments.

 BED BUGS
• Bed bug bites can cause redness, itching, swelling, and blistering.
• Bed bug saliva can trigger skin irritation, leading to discomfort and anxiety.
• Scratching bed bug bites can lead to secondary infections, such as bacterial or fungal infections.
• Bed bug allergens can exacerbate asthma and other respiratory conditions.

 RODENTS
