Objectives:
To enable the students to use English for special purpose efficiently and to orient them about
the nuances of technical communication skills. The course focuses on the process of ideation

newspaper.
2. Ideation and on hypothetical situations
3. Basics of English phonetics- Vowels, semi vowels, consonants & Dipthongs
4. IPA symbols, Transcription, pronunciation of difficult words from Barron list

2. Pygmalion (Play) by George Barnard Shaw
3. The Express (Poem) by Stephen Spender
