GUIDELINES FOR CAMPUS-WIDE WiFi CONNECTIVITY – APRIL 2024


The following guidelines may please be followed:
One-Time Configuration required for Windows OS:
1. Start  Control Panel  Network and Internet

2. Select View network status and tasks

3. Select Set up a new connection or network

4. Select Manually connect to wireless network

5. Enter the information for the TCE wireless network as shown below and click Next.
 Network Name: Type in your nearby access point name displayed (TCE [or] TCE-NEW)
 Choose Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
 Set the Encryption Type: AES
 Click Next

6. A prompt should appear Successfully added TCE

7. Click Change connection settings.

8. Click Security Tab.

9. Choose Microsoft Protected EAP (PEAP) for the authentication and click Settings.

10. Uncheck Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate

11. Select Authentication Method: Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)

12. Click Configure

13. Uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name and password. (and domain if any) and click ok

14. Click OK

15. Click Advanced Settings.

16. On the 802.1x settings tab check Specify authentication mode and select User Authentication

17. Click OK

18. Click OK

19. Click Close

20. Click Wireless symbol in Taskbar.
21. Select and connect to TCE.
22. A prompt should appear to sign in. Type your Wi-Fi Credentials.
