Q.1. What is webpage ?

Ans. A webpage is one type of document in which there is text, graphics,


sound, video containing.

Q.2. What is website ?

Ans. Website is a collection of the webpages which have been interlinked or


related with each other. A website can have one or more than one
webpages.

Q.3. What is web server ?

Ans. Web server is a computer on which the websites can be browsed with
the help of internet. Webserver also performs the task of keeping and
storing websites.

Q.4. What do you know about web hosting company ?

Ans. Once the registration of website has been finalized then there is a
need of the space on the webserver for storing the website. The company
which providing the space is called the web hosting company.

Q.5. What do you mean by domain Naming System (DNS) ?

Ans. Every website has been given name as per the naming system known
as Domain Naming System (DNS). For example – www.amazon.com
Q.6. What is a protocol ?

Ans. As in our daily life we follow certain rules for smooth functioning of
the organization or country just like that there is a need of some rules for
quicker and smooth transferring of files or for communication over the
internet called protocol.

Q.7. What is FTP ?

Ans. F.T.P. – File Transfer Portocol, is mainly used for transferring files
from one computer to the another computer.

Q.8. What is downloading?

Ans 8. Transfer of files from server to the client computer is called


downloading.

Q.9. What is uploading ?

Ans. Transfer of files from client computer to the web hosting server is
called uploading.

Q.10. What is HTTP ?

Ans. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) defines the roles to be


followed while transfer of information (web document) containing text,
graphics, hypertext, sound, video etc. It is most widely used protocol.

Q.11. What is HTTPS?

Ans 8. HTTPS is the secure version of HTTP, which is the primary


protocol used to send data between a web browser and a website.

Q.12. What is client ?

Ans. Client is a computer that mostly depends on server for each and every
resources.

Q.13. What is IP address ?

Ans. IP address is unique address for every computer connected to the


internet. An IP address consists of set of four number (divided by dot). For
example 192.168.132.10
