Introduction

Management principles are the key responsibilities of management in an organization. As per the

view of Udugani (2023), it can help an individual to understand their responsibilities in a better

way. Figure 1 shows the essential principles of management and its effectiveness in boosting the

organizational performance.

In this study, the company chosen is “Doctor Care Anywhere”. The company is the largest

remote or private provider of “telehealth services” in the UK (DoctorCareAnywhere, 2024a).

Founded in the year 2013 (Doctor Care Anywhere, 2024a). Doctor Care Anywhere has also been

providing private ACP and GP appointments, via phone and video. Patients can book the

services at any time of the day as the service is available 24*7 (Doctor Care Anywhere, 2024b).

This report will also analyze SWOT analysis and Porter’s five forces and develop the SMART

goals to understand the company’s current scenario.

a) SWOT analysis

According to the opinion of Gurl (2017), investigating the weaknesses, threats, opportunities and

strengths of an organizational system is famous for researching a company’s background.

Organizations carry out “SWOT analysis”, as it is a strategic tool used to examine the impact of

internal and external environment on the performance of a company.

b) Porter’s 5 forces

According to the view of Grundy (2006), Porter’s five forces are an effective tool used to

understand the competitive dynamics in an industry. Thus, the analysis can help to offer deep

insights into the “competitive landscape”, by helping the firm to strategize accordingly.

Conclusion

It can be concluded from the above discussion that management plays a key role in boosting

organizational performance. It is crucial for the firm to understand the desires and importance of

its employees. This is because they play a key role in boosting the experience and motivation of

the customer. Indeed, it has also been examined that the advancement of technology is essential

to enhance the retention and engagement of the customers. This may also be crucial for

telehealth services to focus on offering the best services to attract the attention of the consumers.

In addition, actively managing the database of the patient is crucial to improving the services

offered by the firm.
