machining processes. EDM & ECM, AJM & USM proceses. Q.2 Draw set up diagram of LBM & EBM
process, showing all the elements. State the function of each element. Q.3 Explain working principle of
ECM & USM process with sketch Q.4 List applications of EDM WEDM AJM PAM processes.
Q.5 List down the various mechanical energy based unconventional machining processes.

Q.1 Draw the neat sketch of Column and Knee type of milling machine. State the function of each part of
the machine.Q.2 What is indexing? What are the methods of indexing ? With suitable example, explain
the steps for compound indexing [87 & 77] Q.3 What is the function of dividing head? What are the types
of dividing head? Draw internal mechanism of universal dividing head and label the parts. Q.4 Explain
the cutting parameters in milling. Q.5 Differentiate between plain milling & universal milling machine
Q.6 Explain Face milling, Form, gang and dovetail milling operations with neat sketch. Q.7 Find cutting
speed for milling operation to machine two parallel vertical surfaces of a workpiece simultaneously by
using pair of side milling cutters, when cutter rpm is 600 rpm and diameter of cutter is 200 mm. Draw the
cutter and work arrangement diagram for above operation. Q.8 Compare simple indexing and compound
