Why do you wish to go to Germany?


In this question, the interviewer wants to understand your reason for choosing Germany,
specifically while explaining your reason but ensure to be concise while answering.
Sample Answer:
You can structure your sample answer as follows - “I have a strong desire to go to Germany due to
its thriving job market and strong economy, along with its rich cultural heritage and commitment to
technological innovation. Germany also offers abandoned career opportunities in software and
technology (your expertise domain) and a diverse cultural experience that aligns with my
aspirations and values.”

Do you have any prior work experience?


The interviewer is trying to validate the authenticity of the data mentioned in your application.
Hence, ensure that your answers match the ones mentioned in your application form and back
them up with possible documentation.
Sample Answer:
You can structure your sample answer as follows - “Yes, I have prior work experience in the
(industry/field) for (duration). I have worked at (company name) as a (job title), where I was
responsible for (mention key responsibilities). This role provided me with the opportunity to
enhance my skills in (relevant skills) and allow me to develop a deep understanding of the

Do you have German language certification?


Be very sure while answering this question, because if you answer it positively, that is with a ‘yes’,
the consulate might ask you some basic German questions and if you are not able to answer them it
might have a negative impact on your application.

German language. However, I intend to actively learn the German language through various courses

It’s a simple and straightforward question be sure to answer it honestly.

Do you intend to pursue permanent residency in Germany?


It is highly suggested to not answer with that yes, speak about how you have responsibilities or ties
back in your origin country you are only willing to immigrate to Germany to secure employment
and would be returning back after your mentioned contribution period.

You can structure your sample answer as follows - “I do not intend to pursue permanent residency
in Germany as my current plan is to gain valuable experience and skills during my stay, and
eventually return to my origin country to support my family and responsibilities back home.”

What is your Educational Background?


Give a response by indicating your most recent school or university degree. Don’t start talking
about every school and educational institution you’ve ever attended until the immigration officer
specifically requests it.
