GLOBAL SOURCING EXPO AUSTRALIA (MELBOURNE)

19 – 21 November
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre

2 July, 2024

Attention: Joint Director, Textiles

BACKGROUND & PROFILE

Thank you for your interest in participating with a pavilion in the upcoming edition of Global
Sourcing Expo to be held in Melbourne. As you are aware, we are keen to encourage
participation by your organization in our event, recalling your previous and highly successful
participation in Melbourne in 2023.

I visited your pavilion at Bharat Tex earlier this year in New Delhi and was very interested to
learn more about Tamil Nadu. I hope that we continue successful cooperation and sharing of
knowledge and networks.

You may be aware that in 2023 we introduced a biannual Sydney edition of the expo. The most
recent edition held in Sydney 12 – 14 June 2024 was an outstanding success with visitor
numbers increased by 43% on the previous edition. We are also expecting a very strong visitor
turnout in the upcoming Melbourne edition.

The Melbourne edition has been held each November since 2010 (excluding 2012 and 2017
when it was held in Sydney). The expo was also in recess throughout the pandemic and was not
held at all in 2020 or 2021.

As you will be aware, India is indelibly associated with the Global Sourcing Expo portfolio in
Australia, ensuring a professional and ongoing platform for Indian companies wishing to
connect with trade or B2B buyers in Australia.

The upcoming edition of Global Sourcing Expo Australia in Melbourne 2024 is expected to
continue the tradition of a strong representation from a range of Indian export councils and
groups as Australian buyers continue to accelerate their sourcing activities from Indian
suppliers.

This long-standing association between India and the Global Sourcing Expo Australia portfolio
means that there are many Australian trade buyers already familiar with the nature of sourcing
from India, and indeed the quality and breadth of product on offer at the expo. We therefore
are excited at the prospect of your participation again in 2024.

The Global Sourcing Shows Australia portfolio provide a major show and sourcing experience to
Australian and New Zealand trade buyers and a compelling proposition to exhibitors from
around the world, including India, who want to reach buyers in Australia.

This established trade show interface, one of the leading sourcing events in Australasia,
connects supplier and buyer networks from a growing list of countries and generates
substantial business outcomes and commercial partnerships. There is no better way of reaching
Australian trade buyers in Australia in one, established, event.
