Preface
First of all, thanks to Allah SWT. For all the blessings so that we can write a paper
about "How to Increase People’s Awareness of The Importance Of Hand Washing” as best
as possible. And we also thank Mrs. Iryanah who gave us this assignment. There are many
things we can learn through the research in this paper.

The paper entitled "How to Increase People’s Awareness of The Importance Of


Hand Washing”, hand hygiene is one of the simplest, yet most effective ways to prevent
the spread of infections and maintain overall health. This practice, often overlooked in its
importance, plays a critical role in safeguarding individuals and communities from a
variety of illnesses. With the recent global health challenges, the significance of proper
handwashing has been highlighted more than ever before.

In this paper, we aim to emphasize the importance of hand hygiene, providing


detailed guidelines on the correct techniques and best practices for washing hands. Our
goal is to educate and encourage everyone to incorporate this essential habit into their daily
routines. By understanding and practicing proper hand hygiene, we can collectively
contribute to a healthier and safer environment.

We hope that this paper serves as a valuable resource, offering insightful


information and practical advice that can be easily adopted by people of all ages. Let us all
take this simple step towards a healthier future by making handwashing a consistent and
integral part of our lives. Finally, we would like to thank all parties who have provided
support and assistance in completing this paper. Hopefully this paper can be useful and

B. Design a plan for the project.

1. Which organization will be responsible for completing the project?


The project will be undertaken by: IAKMI is an abbreviation of “Ikatan Ahli Kesehatan
Masyarakat Indonesia" (The Indonesian Public Health Association/ IPHA), an independent
and multidisciplinary professional organization for the benefit of public health, based on
Pancasila and based on the 1945 Constitution.
2. Give a description of the project.
This project aims to provide, distribute and produce clean water to the people in the area.
by making several water channels or taps. in every RT/RW in the area. Apart from that,
this project can create public awareness about the importance of washing hands.
3. Mention the goals, outcomes, and time of completion.
Goals:
To provide the community with clean water facilities, as well as educate the public about
the importance of washing their hands. In order to create health in society. Realizing that
100% of households in each region have access to clean water and adequate sanitation by
2024. And reducing the incidence of diseases related to inadequate water and sanitation.
Improving people's quality of life.
a) Increase access to clean water and adequate sanitation for all communities in every
region.
b) Reducing the incidence of diseases related to inadequate water and sanitation.
c) Increasing the quality of life of the community.
d) Achievement of Sustainable Development Goal), Clean Water and Adequate
Sanitation.
Outcomes:
To improve and provide clean water use for all communities, educate the people in the
area. And minimize disease in the surrounding community.
Time of Completion:
Project start date: May 24, 2024
Project end date: 1 July, 2024 (1 month 8 days)
4. Mention the criteria of a successful project (making of the product, monitoring
and evaluation).
Making of the product:
Building clean water and sanitation supply system infrastructure in each region, such as:
1. Boreholes
2. Water pipe network
3. Water Treatment Plant (TPA)
4. (Bathing, Washing, Toilet)
5. Conduct outreach and education to the public about the importance of maintaining
clean water and sanitation.
6. Form a clean water and sanitation system management group in each region.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Monitoring and Evaluation is carried out routinely and has records of these matters. once
concluded, it will look like this:
- Percentage of households that have access to clean water: 90%
- Incidence of diseases related to inadequate water and sanitation: overall 10%
- Level of community satisfaction with the program: overall the level of satisfaction:
95%
This is a survey after this project, which means community an access better and more clean
water, and of course reduces many existing diseases and risks.
