MAIL MERGE & LABEL GENERATION - A word processing feature that allows you to easily
create multiple letters, labels, envelopes, nametags
or catalogue documents to a group of people as
stored in a list/database or spreadsheet.

COMPONENTS OF MAIL MERGE


1. MAIN/FORM DOCUMENT – the letter which contain the email information for each
of the merged document that can be in the form of letter, stationary/template. It also
contains the field names which contains the instructions for carrying out the merge.
2. DATA SOURCE (DATA FILE) – comprises the information to be merged into a
document such as a list of names and addresses to be used in a mail merge. This
must be connected to the data source before it can use the information in it.
3. MERGE DOCUMENT – this is the generated output after executing the merge
process.

Example 1:
Get the sum of cell B1 to B9

Answer: =SUM(B1:B9)

Displays the number with the LOWEST VALUE Example 2:

Answer:

Displays the number with the HIGHEST VALUE or
=SUM(B1, B5)
=MAX(Cell1, Cell2)

Displays the AVERAGE of numbers

❖ Microsoft’s Yammer -offers companies to have their own social network that allows sharing and managing content.
❖ Trello - offer an online to-do checklist for your entire team.
❖ Learning Management System (Edmodo, Canva, Moodle, Google Classroom and others)- enables teachers to share content,
distribute quizzes, assignments, and manage communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
❖ Powtoon – allows users to create video presentations.
