Course Name: Understanding Business using Google Sheets - Practical

Course Outcomes:

At the end of the course, the student will be able


 CO1: Create spreadsheets with amazing formatting tricks .
 CO2: Learn manipulate text in formulas.
 CO3: Connect multiple Google sheets together using a single formula.
 CO4: Analyze data sets with ease using complex function sand formulas.

Prerequisites: One should have basic knowledge of Computer basics.

Unit 1. Google Sheet Overview 30 hrs 1
Create a Spreadsheet and Fill It With Data(With proper
formatting), Edit and format data in created sheet, Import, share
and download file in spreadsheet, insert (cell, comments, rows,
columns, checkbox, dropdown, emojis and new sheet in created
spreadsheet), Freeze rows and columns, Hide rows and columns,
Insert image in created spreadsheet, Add, Average, and Filter
Data with Formulas, Share, Protect, and Move Your Data.

Unit 2. Google Sheet Formatting 30 hrs 1


Format number (Percent, Scientific, Accounting, Financial,
Currency, Currency Rounded), Convert Number to date and time,
Manipulate Text, Sort Data (Sort sheet by column (A to Z, a to z)),
Apply conditional formatting in given spread sheet with all format
rules, Apply single color and color scale formatting, Create and
remove filters, Use all mathematical functions in given sheet, Use
filter function (SORT, SORTN, UNIQUE, FILTER), Use of date
function.

Course Outcomes:
At the end of the course, the student will be able
 CO1: Create and manage databases.
 CO2: Design forms and reports, and perform basic data manipulation and querying
tasks.
 CO3: Understand and implement different types of relationships among different
entities.
 CO4: By the end of the course, participants will have the skills to build functional and
efficient databases for personal or small business use.

Prerequisites:
Participants should have a solid understanding of fundamental computer operations,
including using a keyboard and mouse, navigating through folders, and managing files. A
basic understanding of spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or
LibreOffice Calc is recommended. Knowledge of working with tables, data entry, and basic
formulas will provide a good foundation for learning database concepts.
