Introduction
Start the class by asking students why land is valuable. Get students to think about the uses of land i.e., fields, pastures,
settlements. Discuss how land is utilized in different ways and how its usage is dependent on geographical factors such as
landforms, soil and climate.Write the topic on the blackboard and inform students that they will learn more about the

factors. Encourage students to trace the change in land use that has occurred over the decades and get them to create a
timeline.
