I. Read the following passage.
Tigers and lions are the biggest animals in the cat family. Some tigers are bigger
than a lion. A male tiger is about 10 feet long. It’s coat Is orange and black. When
it moves through the forest and through the long grass, its coat is almost the same
colour as the grass. The tiger does not like the hot sun. It lies in caves or in the
forest until evening. Then, it comes out to hunt , to drink water in the river or
bathe. It enjoys swimming. Sometimes, it floats lazily in the water and then rolls
on the sand like a playful kitten.
The tiger likes to hunt alone . Usually, it hunts at night.

In a small village near Mysore lived an old man he had. A garden full of fruit trees.
All kinds of birds came to his garden to Peck at his fruits. they build nests in the
tree trunk, in the holes of the garden walls, and in the branches outside the man's
window.
One day, he saw a little bird lying near his window. Its wing was broken. He
picked the bird up gently in his hand and carried it inside. Then he spent all his
time taking care of the bird and nursed it back to health. one fine morning when he
woke up, he was surprised to see the bird sitting near his bed, looking at him. It
came close to him as if to say ‘ thank you ‘ and then flew away and joined the
others.
