Aadhaar authentication details

In light of the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedure as advised in the Master Directions
on Know Your Customer (KYC) by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Aadhaar Regulations,
2016, for opening an account of a customer (“Customer”), ICICI Bank Limited (“ICICI Bank”) is
required to collect Aadhaar details of authorised signatories and beneficial owners of an
account as a mandatory document and further, authenticate Aadhaar from Unique
Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) after taking consent from the Aadhaar card holder.

The Customer understands and confirms that s/he has provided voluntary consent for linking
the Aadhaar details of authorised signatories and beneficial owners registered in his/her
previously opened Current Account with the new Current Account. The Customer also
acknowledges that a separate consent for authentication of Aadhaar details may be obtained
by ICICI Bank, and in the event the Customer provides such consent, the details may be used
by ICICI Bank for the following purposes:
1. Aadhaar details for authenticating the Customer’s identity with UIDAI’s Aadhaar-based
authentication system and obtaining demographic details (including photograph) from
UIDAI. The Customer understands that such Aadhaar details (including demographic
information) will not be used for any purpose other than that mentioned herein and/or in
the consent letter or as per the requirements of law and that the biometric information of
the Customer shall not be stored by ICICI Bank;
2. Registered mobile number for receiving SMS alerts from ICICI Bank regarding Aadhaar.

ICICI Bank may further share the Aadhaar details with UIDAI, concerned regulatory and/ or
statutory authorities as may be required under applicable law(s). The Customer understands
that the request for updating Aadhaar details will not be completed, if (a) Aadhaar details
provided are incorrect; (b) authentication with UIDAI fails due to mismatch of details with
UIDAI; (c) there is technical failure while authenticating Aadhaar details with UIDAI.
