Sample SOP for MBA in Finance:

Since my childhood days, I have always looked up to my father, who works

at a bank as its Managing Director. During my school days, he took me with
him to his office once. When I interacted with his colleagues, and explored
different departments of the bank, the finance department caught my
interest. I was enthralled on seeing how everything in bank was well
organized and all the monetary processes are performed seamlessly
assuring that the business can have access to cash in sustainable ways.

I completed my undergraduate course in the year 2019 and then applied

for an internship with (company name). The company was sufficiently
impressed with my knowledge and skills and offered me a full-time
opportunity for the role of a management trainee. I was promoted to the
rank of assistant manager only six months after joining the organization.

During my career so far, I have got the chance to interact with several
international clients, partners, and associates while working with them on
various projects. Taking this exposure into account, I realized how global
knowledge and a world-class master’s program will make a difference in
my professional pursuits. After carefully analyzing the difference in the
teaching methodologies between Indian and foreign institutions, I decided
on the latter.

I want to pursue an MBA in Finance as that would improve my

management ability, creative thinking, inventive ability, and many more.
A staunch career foundation would be built as I would be receiving real-
time experience during the tenure of pursuing the course. The fact that I
would be able to discover the unknown facts of banking, stock exchange,
investment, insurance, etc. prompts me to opt for this course, as I can get
an in-depth knowledge of the finance sector.

An MBA in Finance will open doors for exciting opportunities for me. With
several MNCs coming to India, it is certain that they will be hiring
competent financial managers in the future, and so there is a vast scope
for me in my home country. With suitable knowledge and practical
experience, any individual can transform into an entrepreneur. After my
master’s degree, I will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to build
a rewarding professional career in finance, prior to taking up my
entrepreneurship dreams to the next level.

During my search for the university that would best suit my needs, I quickly
located (institution name) with the financial, academic, and other
requirements suiting me to the hilt. I have also arranged funds to take care
of my education cost while my academic record is eligible as per the
institutional guidelines. I will also be able to meet the work experience
requirements as set by the institute by the time I would receive my
acceptance letter. I have already checked with the institution’s academic
and admission counsellors and the email written by him acknowledges that
I fulfill the eligibility criteria as well.

My academic training and professional stint have prepared me to

undertake a master’s program at your esteemed university. If given the
chance to be a part of the institution, I would prove myself by emerging as
an individual who is ready to embrace the corporate world

SOP Sample for Computer Science

The dynamically advancing world of Computer Science has always

attracted me. I started learning how to code from the seventh grade itself
and ventured directly into advanced computer programming at 14. As they
say, the rest is history. I was hooked on developing applications of various
types throughout high school and even in college. I naturally took up a B.
Tech course in Computer Science and graduated with flying colours. I
participated in numerous coding competitions at my institution and online
too. I have also completed online certifications in Python, ML (Machine
Learning), and AI (Artificial Intelligence) to quench my insatiable thirst for
knowledge in the field.

I have been involved in hosting and organizing multiple events and

seminars on programming and data science at my institution. I decided to
apply for an MS in Computer Science after graduation. Even though I lack
professional experience, I have ranked in the top 2% of my class
throughout my undergraduate course while also serving as the secretary
at the coding society of my institution named Coders Unlimited.

I have also pursued multiple internships and projects throughout the final
two years of my course. I have interned at a data science company and
another IT major in my third and fourth years. These internships have
helped me apply my programming, coding, data science, and analysis
knowledge to solve real-world problems. I have always viewed Computer
Science as a spectrum with many gaps, untapped zones, and well-known
sub-categories which have unfathomable future potential. I also helped
one of my professors with a special project on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
and its application to customer interaction at financial institutions. My
passion for Computer Science is visible through my academic record,
internships, projects, and certifications.
Pursuing an MS in Computer Science, I would like to go deeper into the
field and gather more advanced skills while building up my research skills
simultaneously. I aim to eventually become an entrepreneur and build my
ecosystem of problem-solving applications for daily life.

The master’s program at your institution will help me with the skill sets
and knowledge I require for fulfilling my career goals. The world-class
faculty, intellectually stimulating atmosphere, and progressively inclined
curriculum attracted me to your esteemed institution. I would be grateful
if deemed worthy of admission into your university. I am confident about
meeting the high standards of your institution.

RESUME WRITING

Importance of a great resume

Your resume is the most important document you’ll submit in your job search.
It’s your frontline fighter, so to speak, as it’s your first opportunity to present
yourself to a potential employer. A professional resume will help you achieve
the following:

• Increase your earning potential - Professionally written resumes are not

only good for landing an interview, but they can also boost your earning
potential by 7 percent to 32 percent.
• Increase your chances of securing a new role - If your resume lacks
professionalism or relevance to the positions you’re applying to, you
likely won’t receive as many opportunities.
• Quickly impress recruiters and hiring managers - Hiring managers and
recruiters look at resumes for an average of only six to seven seconds
each, so make every second count. A strong resume can help you stand
out from the crowd, but a weak resume can remove you from the
running
• Decrease your number of rejections - You need to send an average of
approx. 50 resumes before you get hired. However, the more impressive
and professional your resume is, the lower this number will be — and
the less you will have to wait to start a new job
Professional Summary

The Objective can have its role in certain circumstances (for example, when
you lack work experience or wish to make a career change). You can also
include an objective as a part of the summary but it would be rare to call this
section "objective." The hiring manager understands that your objective is to
get the job, otherwise why would you apply?
Work Experience: professional experience

• Job title, company name, location of employment

• Month and year started and left the position
• Between three and six bullet points briefly outlining your results and role
at the company

The skills section

Use the same words to describe your skills that the employer uses in the
literature about the role.
Education
The education section varies in importance depending on your profession and
industry. Professions like lawyers, doctors and hard-sciences positions
(chemist, biologist etc.) will have a very strong emphasis on formal education
