Transit Analysis Tool Helps Identify Areas of Improvement in Delivery Network

The transit analysis tool provides a concise performance breakdown of a delivery network by analyzing sample article delivery data. It sequentially classifies articles into categories based on delivery status, such as whether the article was delivered within D+1. The tool computes performance metrics like the share and impact of articles in each category. This helps identify high priority areas for improvement by highlighting categories with the biggest negative impact on overall delivery timelines. The tool also provides a list of articles for each category to help diagnose root causes of issues through further analysis.

Breakdown of overall performance

Performance breakdown of NTD articles booked at POs

Performance breakdown shows the share of articles per category and D+X per category in the sample input data Breakdown is available by article type (TD or NTD) and where the article was booked (PO or BNPL) Each article gets classified only in one category. The sequential order followed for categorizing articles is same as the order shown in the graph. First the tool checks if an article got delivered in D+1. If yes, the article is classified in this category and will not be considered for further classification. If no, the tool checks if the article was attempted to be delivered in D+1. Same logic applies to all articles/ all categories until all the articles have been classified
