1. At room temperature of 25 + 0.

5C:

V(sound)= (331.5+0.607T)= 331.5+ 0.607 25= 331.5+15=346.7 m/s

Error of velocity :α = √ (0.607 ×α ( T ) ) =0.3 m/s

Sources of error:

 Inaccurate measurement in lengths

 Error in apparatus where the sensor may have not accurately measured the

harmonies

 Non-constant temperature leading to a change in experimental conditions

The oscilloscope is usually used as a tool to measure voltage. In our case, it was

measuring the pressure. Therefore, a maximum on the screen of the oscilloscope reflects

a pressure antinode, and a displacement node, so a maximum of pressure but 0

displacement. And same goes for the minima observed, these reflect pressure nodes and

displacement antinodes (maximum displacement).
