Essay by Minh Quang:
The pie charts show us the reason for immigration and emigration
rates to a European country based on different causes in 2009.

In general, employment and family (matters/affairs/issues/reasons)

were the main reasons for immigration. Meanwhile, most people left
their country to pursue job opportunities.

Regarding immigration, a big share/proportion/percentage/portion of

25% arrived in/landed the country to accompany their family. Next
was those who migrated for work, accounting for 23% of the total.
There were equal shares of 15% of immigrants either in search of
work, educational purpose, or other reasons for each category
respectively. Whereas, a small/tiny 7% did not disclose their reasons
by choosing not to participate in the survey.

Conversely, according to the lower pie chart, the emigration for work
was the most compelling factor, with 38% of people leaving the
country for employment purposes. Family cause and job prospect
accounted for 15% and 13%, respectively, indicating a slight
variation. These numbers approximately doubled the 8% of emigrants
who left the country for studying abroad. Moreover, 23% of people
emigrated for other reasons, while a mere 4% did not respond to the
survey.

The pie charts illustrate the percentage of people immigrating to and
from a European country in 2009, basing on various purposes.

Overall, accompanying family was the primary reason for immigrating

to the country whilst the majority of emigrants left the country for
having been offered definite jobs. Whereas, individuals immigrating
or emigrating without a specified reason represented the smallest
share.

Essay by Mai Tiến Đức:

(Immigration and emigration have always been a part of society that
contributes to the development of a country. There are many different
purposes for a person to leave his or her home country.) The two
charts provide information about immigration and emigration of a
European country in 2009.
Overall, through the two charts, we can see that the main reasons for
immigration were employment and family issues. Meanwhile, the
majority of people left their homeland with the desire to find a better
job to support themselves and their families.
Regarding immigration, we can see that the majority of people who
come to a foreign country were related to family issues, accounting for
a quarter of the immigration rate in this country. This rate was similar
to emigration for work, accounting for 23% of the total. These may be
talented people who have received offers from foreign companies and
come here with greater ambitions. Besides, we observe that 15% of
immigrants came here to find a job and the same goes to those who
came here for educational purposes. Meanwhile, there were also
immigrants who came here for other reasons, accounting for 15% and
about 7% of people kept it a secret by not participating in the survey.
